  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

So my friend and I installed a custom CAI and a tuned ECM to remap the fuel\air ratios and I must say this car def has unlocked potential. I have been able to get my 0-60 times (in manual shift mode) in the low 5 sec range. I have added a short sound clip of the finish work. Hope you like :D

Congrats... Nice work.... For me the V6 sounds like a street prepared Corvair Autocrosser. Not into that...BUT you and many are. Appreciate experiencing the efforts and success you have had. You will get some jaws dropping as they see you pass them by in a high RPM howl they will not soon forget.

Thanks man, it sounds a lot different in person. Unfortunately, the only way my friend could get me the original high quality video was to significantly downgrade the quality of it. The video quality and the sound were affected unfortunately. Anyway I am loving how it drives, it is feels like a different car now.

I'm interested in the parts you used.

Sounds sick man, but too bad you filmed it with a potato ;).

Do you have some pics so I can see your layout? Sounds quite different from the intake I had on my V6 - in a good way I mean. Do you have exhaust with it? It almost sounds like you're running headers too.

Who did the tune on the ecu? As I'm looking for a tune also. Any info will be greatly appreciated.. thanks

Thanks man I appreciate it. I have a custom built cat back straight piped out the back. I will take some pics and upload them for you when I get a chance.

I got mine from Road Race Motor Sports, cost me about $500 but I think it was worth it. Also, as the person above posted, BTR now does a full tune apparently. My tune was just for the fuel\air ratios but I would love to be able to a complete tune.

Is this a piggy back or a legitimate ECU reflash?

I almost guarantee you it is the same RRM NSPP that they baited the Genesis Coupe community into buying and then refusing refunds when dynos showed loss of power over stock and dangerous AFRs.

I have already put 2k miles on it since the install and I can't be more happy with the way it is driving. I have not had a chance to dyno it but there is def not a drop in power, that I can promise you. Like I have said, my zero to sixty time has dropped and the mid\top end is noticeably better. I would be interested however if you link me to the information you are referring to as I am curious if it is in fact the same thing.

Still waiting to hear back from them about the details of the tune and twin turbo options. Hoping to get more info tomorrow.

Yes I would much rather get a reflash and that twin turbo sounds VERY nice if true.

It is a piggy back. Only people that are possibly doing a legit ECU reflash is BTR and I don't think anyone has actually got one on the sedan to talk about the results.

I looked into it a bit and found someone who is using it on the coupe. They wrote up a detailed review on the performance and they have the exact same sentiments as me. http://www.Genesis Coupe.com/3-8-v6...8-road-race-motorsport-s-fuel-controller.html

The honeymoon phase of NSPP only lasted about a year:

http://www.Genesis Coupe.com/engine/34214-who-wants-refund-their-nspp.html

RRM disappeared from the forum, no further product support, no refunds, no explanation really.

NSPP merely manipulates the MAF signal, it's a fancy eBay "power chip". 2.0T owners, which was MAP-based instead of MAF, experienced CELs, no starts and dangerously lean AFR of 15:1. 3.8 owners mostly said it stopped working after a couple of months, whether unplugged or plugged in, the performance was the same. Some showed power loss on the dyno with it plugged in versus an unplugged run.

I hope you don't experience the same as the Coupe owners did.

Yea, I hope not either... So far so good but I have only had it about a month now so I still have my fingers crossed. I plan to Dyno it and get real numbers. Once I do I will post with and without it plugged in and show the results on here no matter what they show.
