  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Price Paid For 2015 Genesis

Congrats on your new ride and :welcome: to the forum. According to the TSB on the taillight recall, dealer is suppose to take care of all cars on lot before selling them. See if your dealer took care of this already.

Thanks! Just did that with Hyundai CS and they did take care of that recall. They did mention the tire replacement and an upcoming campaign about replacing the front car sears railing (didn't have more details).

Genesis rebates did not change for me here in Texas. How about for you guys?

I just spoke to a dealership in the Houston area and the residual on the 5.0 seems to have dropped, as did the MF. I was given a residual of 52% and a money factor of .00021, given tier 1 credit.

Can anyone confirm those numbers?

Brand new to forum and getting ready to possibly purchase a new 2015 Hyundai Genesis with Ultimate Package. Live in DFW area and interested in the Montecito Blue with Gray interior combo. Seems this color combo may be hard to find...

Also interested in either a 36 or 39 mo/12K per year lease. Been reading a lot of these posts for info and price paid as I am not real knowledgable about the lease options.

Here is what i have been offered so far as of 5/5/15:
MSRP: $50,200 (mats, cargo mat, and lock lugs)
Sell Price: $47,700 plus $1000 down
36 mo/12K lease with payment estimate at around $700, which seems a little high to me based on other posts on this site.

Overall, I was hoping to get a payment on a 36 mo lease closer to $400-$450/mo...

Any suggestions and comments to help me set realistic expectations on a good deal?

Thanks!

$700/month is extraordinarily high. I called a dealer today to discuss why he was getting $650/month while I was calculating $550 and we could not iron it out. Keep in mind that in Texas, you pay taxes upfront as if you purchased the vehicle. This kind of sucks since it will raise the price as opposed to other states.

RK1, did they happen to give you the residual and the money factor for that quote?

59% is higher than usual...if that is correct.

Last month it was at 55%, but apparently it is down to 52% this month.

He is talking about an AWD V6 which appears to have dropped to .00039 MF & 59% residual. That is from the previous 61%. The V8 has had a lower residual, which also dropped, but seems like the MF also dropped a little.

I am looking for the RWD version. Also, is the Montecito Blue EXT and Gray INT a hard combination to find? Most combo's with this blue seem to be Ivory or Beige with not too many Gray INT (at least in this area).

How if the MF calculated and does it change from one dealer to another or is it based on credit score, etc.?

Just got feedback from two dealers in the DFW area. Residuals were both at 58% for the RWD version with Ultimate Package. One had a MF of .00062 and the other had a MF of .00122.

The residual is fixed by Hyundai and the MF is the base which can be marked up by the dealer (with a max markup).

MF also depends on what your credit score is.

If you get to calculating your monthly payment, also remember that in Texas, we pay the sales tax on the entire vehicle's selling price, so that raises the price a bit.

Can you share which dealer? Did you get any incentives?

Hi, new member here.

I'm looking for a Genesis 5.0 Ultimate Package in Empire State Gray. The only ones I can find in my area have Ivory interior, which is just fine, to me.

The MSRP looks like it's around $55-56K. I went to Truecar and I had 3 dealers respond saying they would honor the Truecar discount and the final price (before TTL) would be between $47,500-$48,600, depending on the dealer.

This seems waaay to good to be true for a 5.0 Ultimate. Is there a catch?

On my own without truecar, I've found some Houston dealers giving $5500-$6000. Then I qualify for $3000 worth of incentives from Hyundai putting the price around $47,000 even.
