  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

What have you Raced?

LOL, it could be :D

I'm off to bed, it's almost 1am and I have to get up in ~7 hours. Talk to ya later ;)

Darek, you know what they say about those who can type that the light of day is shown on them when the rock is lifted... Geez..

I think I will just tuck my M4 between my legs and go home. Keep enjoying driving your great cars. Enjoy the memorial day weekend and as a retired Air Force fighter pilot, I hope you remember those who are serving to keep us free. :D

You also have a good weekend.. We celebrate you serving the country. What did you fly while in AF? You commercial pilot or fly personally at this time?

E, RF4, G Wild Weasel? Buddy of mine used to fly RF4 version for Marines. Went RF/A18 just before he retired.

I'm an Army Vet myself, nice to have another Vet on the forum. I always loved the F-4, my love for them started as a boy living in southern CA near March, Norton and George AFB in the 70's, you could always tell it was a F-4 from the smoke trail. That was one mean looking bird. It also didn't help that my dad was friends with Dick Rutan who flew F-4's over Vietnam. Dick always had some great stories for me and was very influential to a young boy with big dreams.

Got 2 races in with my wife's Infiniti Q50. We went stop light to stop light let off around 65 each time.
First run I left it in D ESC on and just rolled into and I got torched off the line by 2 cars where we held.
Second light I flipped the shifter to manu-matic (let is shift itself) left ESC on and jammed the throttle. After a good wheel chirp I got lead off the line and held a car to 65.

For reference both cars had a full tank of gas and I'm a far heavier driver lol. I'm on the Q50 forums a lot and have seen many of those cars run 13.5 in the 1/4 quite easily.

That's great. Yeah, the new Q50's are very fast and it's very encouraging that you were keeping up or beating her through 60mph.

What year is your 4.6, btw?

Entertaining read, though I have a feeling many of these "race wins" fall into the, "a win is a win, even if the other car isn't racing."

That's heresy and propaganda. Clearly, every single one of these races went down exactly as described with the Genesis thoroughly trouncing the opponent by 10 car lengths minimum. I heard also that most of the owners promptly sold their inferior vehicles and bought a Genesis.

I'm pretty sure what happens here is the same thing that happens everywhere else. There's a percentage of people who think they're racing, a percentage of people who legitimately win a race, and a percentage of people who aren't exactly being honest. Let's leave it at that because we really don't need a bunch of back and forth in bad spirit here (again)...

Last Saturday afternoon I was getting on to the freeway in Mexico when a new white S7 zipped past me at a good pace. Me, I am always looking for an excuse to goof off, so I kicked it down into 2nd and into 3rd as I got up behind him. When the driver of the S7 saw me jump behind him, he started waving at me in the rear view and nailed it. I knew what was coming and nailed it the same time he did. At this point we were doing around 80mph and I was 3 car lengths behind him. After a few moments he stopped waving and started to "concentrate". We ran 'em out past 150 before he let off to make his exit. The S7 pulled maybe 1/2 to 1 car length on me. When I passed him, an old guy probably 10 years past his expiration date started waving a thumbs up at me! I returned the thumbs up and coasted back down to 80. Gotta say, it's been a while since I had that much fun!

I didn't know what it was, so i tried to race it.

I watched the new Mercedes GT-S AMG totally leave me in the dust.

Beautiful car, beautiful sound. I would love to have one, but I could pay off my house with what one of them costs.
