  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Looking to buy a hyundai genesis 2014, what price should I expect?

Re: looking to buy a 2014 hyundai genesis but...

Need specifics. What does it have for options? Is it a 5.0, 3.8 or 5.0 RSPEC.

Re: looking to buy a 2014 hyundai genesis but...

So many unknown variables. Mileage, trim, options etc. I did a quick KBB and NADA on typical pricing for a decently loaded but not top of the line CPO 3.8 with 22K and came up with a retail range of 28 to 30K. You typically figure that most dealers aren't going to go much more than 10% below NADA price and you end up around where you had them.

Re: looking to buy a 2014 hyundai genesis but...

Calvd,
Pls do look at leases on the 2015s....they have some pretty compelling specials right now. If you just get a basic 3.8L one (not Tech, or Ultimate, etc), it may be like $400/month, with Zero down. Check it out

said that there was 7k miles on it and it's a 3.8.

http://www.cars.com/vehicledetail/detail/634839444/overview/ that's the car to be specific. came out to be 28k total after taxes. was originally listed as 26,970 and they bumped it up. but when we were negotiating prices we were talking as if it was 26,970. only got it down to 26k

not looking to lease. looking to buy a car with low mileage and preferably 2014. i know i can get 2013 but why not 2014 if i can afford it?

is there any way i can get it for 26, 27 at the most? or is 28k really as "low as they can go"

This is the 2015 thread - you are likely to find more info and buyers experiences on the 2014 discussion group.

am i getting scammed by the dealership here?

used car with 7,000 miles. list price was 26,900 and it's CPO. my parents don't really know how to negotiate though and the guy could tell. we wanted to pay 26k after taxes, but they would only go down to 26k as the price of the car plus 2k in taxes. basically ended up walking out and saying we'd shop around.

also, we were looking to buy it full in cash if that matters. they said we should finance and there was no pre payment penalty but the price would still be 28k in the end with taxes. and the car has been listed for 2 months.

knew they were bsing us with the price from the start when he said that "The online price is the lowest price we can go, that's the sales price because people are getting smarter and won't come if the prices are too high" but didn't know exactly how to combat his bs.

is 26k after taxes unrealistic? we live in NJ btw.

You have started two threads on the same subject (same post), which is a violation of forum rules.

Not only do you not understand forum rules (and Internet etiquette), you still don't understand the various trim levels that are offered on a Genesis (that are groupings of features/options). No one can tell you if it is good price unless you specify the trim level (Base, Premium Package, Tech Package, etc). If you don't know, ask the dealer.

I was told to post in a different section hence the two similar threads. Should have deleted the previous. I believe it's the premium package and a 3.8L. I'm only 19 and I don't use the internet much for discussion purposes just general youtube/music/homework so I apologize if my internet etiquette isn't the "best".
