  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Funny you mention this as we already have the ability to start our cars via our phone with Bluelink in the US or as in my case with Drone mobile aftermarket in Canada. I have the new apple watch which can download certain apps however I have not yet tried the Drone Mobile one to see if it works on my watch. Theoretically it should work fine however like in the commercial, all these technologies simply communicate with your phone which must be on you and in operation in order to send commands. At the end of the day the watch actually only act like a remote for your phone but sure is convenient not to mention cool.

I did not no this. Can you tell me what version cell phone it will work on? I have a 4S (work phone) IPhone. I wanted to pick up one of these watches.

Gear S can function as a stand alone after activation, no phone needed to operate, it's its own phone too.

I start my car with my Moto360 every afternoon at work. Love showing that feature off, especially to the guy with the Apple watch that sits next to me.

When you install the Bluelink application on your phone and you have an Android watch attached to your phone, it will install this application for your watch. A few swipes on the watch, plug in your pin code and BAM! car is started. :)

Fast process honestly, best integration I've seen with an Android watch.

I wish I didn't need to enter the PIN each time for your watch. But I understand the security purpose.

Remote start is totally worth the money!! I use it every time I know im going to my car. It works probably 98% of the time. The only time it doesnt work is when the car isn't locked. Or my phone has poor cell reception.

Unfortunately the "Gear S" is not compatible as Hyundai does not have a watch based app for the "Gear S" Tizen OS. Some of the other "Gear" devices will support it as they run on "Android Wear" OS. I know this because my wife has the Gear S and wanted to do this but alas, no support.

the watch in the commercial looks like a moto360.

It does. The application on the watch looks nice and is very easy to use. It literally takes me 15 seconds to start my car via the watch. Easier than the phone. Love BlueLink! The weather here has been almost 100 degrees so I have been enjoying the auto-start functionality.

Bummer, the SK Chabals really need to collaborate more.

OK i just picked up a moto 360, paired it with my phone with android wear, reinstalled genesis app. Now what do I do to turn on my genesis with my watch?

EDIT: are you guys using genesis app or bluelink app? When I first got my car, bluelink app didnt work with genesis.

EDIT: NVM. looks like our genesis now works with bluelink app as well. I been using genesis app all these time. Looks like i'll be switching over.

FYI, Drone Mobile remote start does not work with the Apple watch yet. I say yet because I called them and they are working on it as I type this. App is expected in the very near future. :D

The Hyundai Blue Link app (now called My Hyundai) works on any Apple iPhone and Apple Watch version. I've been starting my Sonata's for a couple of years with my watch, and now my Gennie. Also, you can set it up for more than one Hyundai product if you own another vehicle!

I have been using both the Hyundai and Genesis watch apps with my Huawei Android Watch. I think I prefer the Genesis app for the most part. Both are compatible with any Android Watch.

I use my Apple iWatch & iPhone all the time to start my car. Now I use Amazon Echo to start it at home. I love tech stuff. I was born to early. LOL !!

oh this is sick haha i like that you can do this now
