The tire recall flipping to Michelin V rated tires (which this rating is good "past 155 mph") from W rated (175+ rating?), Hyundai mandates they will REDUCE limiter from 155 to 130 on the V6. Other posts have pictures of the letter people got from Hyundai saying so. Well, Hyundai must think the V6 will go 155, or they would not have said so, or made the busy body draconian decision to change the limiter.
There is a report below of a 2013 model hitting a brick wall just over 135... Well, there are reports on other posts of 150+ in a V6. Certain 2012 rental cars (Hertz) base V6 would not stop accelerating hard at 135, and may have indeed went past 140 in certain two lane passing situation, whizzing by 7 cars in a lung straight with no incoming traffic.. That shortly after the cars were passed, still pulling hard at 140+, stable as Accord at 55. Impressed renter so much, went and bought a 2012 V8 version. Maybe Hyundai fooled with the limiter in 2013. Would not be a surprise because of the bullying reduction in 2015 V6 when tires are replaced.
So, who can report a mystery person confirming a 2015 V6 hitting limiter at 155 (Hankook tires)? This would settle his question.
