Who else finds themselves turning up the heat when trying to turn down the volume and vise versa?

no...when using the dash...for some reason i don't use the the steering wheel controls that often
The arrangement is similar to the one in my bimmer, although I think reversed. After 27 months in the car I still find myself turning the heat up when I want more audio volume. Getting the "muscle memory" tuned in is more difficult when moving back and forth between two or more different cars. Senioritis doesn't help either.
This reminds me of how much I hated the positioning of the A/C controls in my second gen CTS. They were very low. Also, you had to mash buttons until you reached the temp setting you wanted, while a digital display displayed the changing temp settings just slightly above the buttons. The rotary dial in the Genesis is much easier to use. The buttons in the CTS were difficult to find and your eyes were off the road for much too long, looking way down while the digits rolled by one by one.I do this too. But, at least it's better than my '13 Avalon that had the cruise control on an unlighted stalk coming off the steering column on the lower right. You can't see it without lowering your head thereby taking your eyes off the road and I would regularly hit it with my knee causing various speed changes. Terrible seats and the worst ergonomics on any car that I've ever driven.
