  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Just finished watching this week's "Motorweek" automotive show that airs on one of our local PBS stations here in the S.F. Bay Area. During the program it was announced that next week's show will include a "long term update" on the Genesis, presumably the platinum 4.6 they road tested several weeks ago. So what are the odds that they will love the car, but ding it on its ride/suspension?

Also mentioned during this week's show were comments about the Genesis being voted Car of the Year at the Detroit Auto show (old news), and Hyundai's assurance program. They reported that, according to Hyundai, only two owners have surrendered their cars since the program went into effect because of lost jobs.

So maybe owning a Hyundai makes you less likely to lose your job?

Nah. Just a (failed?) attempt at humor, based on the "only two people have turned the car back in" bit.
Regardless of the Assurance Plan, I suspect that there are not many people who are buying a new car these days who cannot afford it, even if they are laid off.
