  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I purchased a 2011 Genesis 4.6 on September 16th 2015. It only had 32K miles and so far I could not be happier.

I always modify my cars to look different, I like a factory custom look. I got the car back from the body shop yesterday and got the new wheels and tires today.

I had the roof painted Candy Black, I changed to a blacked out 2012 grille with a solid chrome upper piece, added a RKSport trunk spoiler, Darker Red Tails, and 19" wheels from the Genesis Coupe.

My father started me on wanting cars that were different, he would say, "I don't want to see myself coming down the street." and I live by that today.

I also like to confuse people and make them think they have seen something they have never seen before.
Some people de-badge their cars, I re-badge mine.
Here is my Genesis R Limited, I actually got a service writer at the Hyundai Dealer today, he said, "I have never seen a Limited model before." I guess it worked.

I bought the wrong Genesis Wing Center Caps, so I have to wait for the larger ones for the Coupe to come in.

I am very happy with the way the grille came out. I am going to paint the lower grille as well.

The RKSport Spoiler cost a little bit more, but I really like the shape.

When I had the roof painted, I also did the roof moldings, because that is how they do it on the 2G with the panoramic roof.

I knew what I wanted to do, before I even bought the car, but what others did here on the site really helped me know I was going down the right path.

I look forward to years of driving enjoyment and interaction with the fine people here at Genesis Owners.

The caps for the new wheels, those are for the wheels I took off.

Ok, I understand now. And, I know you are going to love the car for many many miles.

The black center caps came in, and the wing for the hood.

I also had the lower grill painted black too.

Looks nice, except for two things:
1. Not a fan of the rear wing
2. Definitely not a fan of making up a model. The term "limited" belongs on an Accord, Camry, or Sonata, not a Genesis. I understand some people want to be unique and this is your way of doing it.

Everyone has their own taste, and I celebrate people's right to modify their car they way they want to.

I personally don't like the slammed look with the wheels tilted and tires stretched, I also don't get the plasti-dip thing. But I am in my 50's, I want a car that drives well and looks great.

I also like that very few people actually know what I drive.

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!

It's a Genesis. If one removes the logos from the rear and center caps, very few people actually know what you drive (no need to create a fictitious model).

Just take a look at this thread.

Anyhow, if you enjoy it, that is all that matters. You posted to receive opinions, and I gave mine.

Some Electronic Upgrades today.

Added the LC2i from AudioControl along with the subwoofer level control

Added a Alpine Monoblock and the 2 10" JL Audio subs I took out of the car replaced by the Genesis.

Fills in the bottom end nicely.

I added the Video in Motion (VIM) interface from NavTV so that DVDs can now be shown with the car moving.

Love the look of your car!

You need to slow down Charles. Only losers modify their cars.

Spoken like a true loser. :) j/k.

My updates will be here next week.
You guys infected me with the mod bug.

The rigid collars, sway bars and mufflers have already arrived, waiting for the secondary cat deletes and the exhaust tips. All scheduled to be put in the next few weeks

It looks good, I like the black top especially. I was also not digging the steering wheel logo and wanted to replace it. I found online the wing where you have to dremmel down a plastic bit and glue it on...Is that what you got? I wanted to make sure it covers that original logo hole perfectly before I get one.

I bought a whole new Air Bag from HaniKimi on eBay. I have purchased several items from him and I highly recommend him.
