  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

For those with AWD and heated steering wheel. I noticed if it is still on when you stop your car, it will default to on and revert back to the beginning of the 30 min timer when started next morning. I noticed this because when I run small errands and restart the car the wheel is always on without needing to select it. Quirk? maybe but comes in handy when remote starting on those cold winter morning. :D

Yes - it "remembers" after shut down and is on when you next start the car. Though, if I recall correctly from last winter, it won't actually turn on when remote starting until you enter the car (switch and light are on but it won't start to heat until you get in and close the door).

That's very interesting and cool.
These are the things you won't learn in the manual.
Thanks Nick

i wish it remembered the drive mode, or which media setting it was on....

Mine remembers media.... and if on the local hard drive or the USB picks up right where it left off, mid-song.

Mine fires up as soon as it is remote started HOWEVER we do not get bluetooth here in Canada and therefor my remote start is aftermarket which probably explains it. ;)
