  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I remote started my car this morning, got in and was presented with a garbled dash display. The center LCD was showing only warning icons, and the right hand turn signal indicator was on continuously. Neither the tachometer or the speedometer were registering anything, and the shift select indicator was missing. Unfortunately I had to drive to work like that, went out an hour later and everything had returned to normal. Anyone ever experience anything like this?

I have not and this is the first I have read of something like this happening. Hopefully this isn't a common problem. The electrical issues continue!

Did you try shutting it off and restarting? I've had my 2015 sine last June and have never experienced anything like this nor have I read about anything similar on these boards.

Yes, I restarted twice and it did not correct the problem, only after letting it sit did it sort itself out. I've checked it again a couple times and all is well.

Thanks, what you described and the image you posted match exactly what I saw, except my odometer did not reset.

...and some think electronics are reliable enough for fully self-driving cars? No thanks!

I would say to let your dealer know but who am I kidding, they will just say they have record of this being an issue on these cars.

I told my dealer about head unit issues on my 13 Genesis and they told me Hyundai had no record of these issues on any other cars - curious considering other forum members had the same issue documented well before I did.

Lets just hope it doesn't recapitulate itself and all remains well.

Gives new meaning to Blue Screen of Death!! :-0

of course not...wasn't my problem anymore as they gave me a G2 with the 5.0 as a loaner and I decided to buy that instead of pick my 13 Genesis up lol.

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
Well, left work, got in car and pushed button, odometer: 0.
Everything else worked fine, but I suppose I almost have to have it serviced now.
