  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I have owned a 2009 Genesis 4.6 V8 for about three years. It has a Tech package. The seat options and easy access for the seat have always worked. Recently, the car had to sit for a month while I recovered from knee surgery. During that time, something caused the battery to run down, and my wife had to get the car jumped off. All of a sudden, the easy access for the driver's seat stopped functioning. The seat memory still works and so does the easy access on the steering wheel. I have accessed the easy access for the seat in the Info system and turned it off and on but to no avail. My dealer looked at it and cleaned some seat switches but has not been able to get the easy access to function.
Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks.

no clue.

it is a 7 year old car so electrical issues might start to creep up. Hopefully someone else can shed some light on the subject. You might get more insight if you posted this in the correct subforum instead of here.

It's been a while since I've messed with this feature on my car...Is the Easy seat feature separate from the steering wheel feature? If so, I'd check to make sure the easy seat access is selected in the settings menu. Maybe with the dead battery the feature was cancelled out.

Settings in setup are the most likely cause like Scott said. Especially considering the battery failure problem. Settings are probably back to default.

I have tried to reset the seat easy access to no avail. The steering easy access is working fine. Guess that I'll have to endure another trip to the dealer.
Thanks for replies.
