Question for the tire tire gurus. I see Huddleston is running 255/35/20 front 285/30/20 rear on a lowered 2015 V8. Could I run the same tire on a stock springs. What would be the pros/cons?

I'm running practically the same thing on stock springs right now. I have no issues at all running this set up.. the only con I can think of is aesthetically due to the amount of wheel gap present.

Stock wheels or stock springs? Go to https://www.tacomaworld.com/tirecalc to see what the differences will be. If you're on stock wheels those tires won't fit because the wheel they are sized for 20x9" and 20x10.5". But in general running a shorter sidewall without going up in wheel size will make your speedometer inaccurate and affect your final drive ratio. You could do it, but it would be all negatives and no positives so not sure why you'd want to.

Same tire and wheel size and offset as Hudds on stock springs. Car will be lowered eventually but not for a bit.

Thanks! I understand your question now. I didn't realize you were asking in regards to an aftermarket wheel size. Like Ace said, there shouldn't be any issues except the wheel gap. But if that doesn't bother you then it shouldn't be any problem.

Should be exactly the same since your wheel diameters should be the same.

It's about the same amount but it actually looks like less due to the size of the rims... I would have no problems driving my car with this set up but I want the drop more at the moment lol

I've got this massive internal debate going between 19" and 20", but I've been trying to find the post of the guy who discovered his wheels were rubbing and bent his sheet metal in the front?

This is the post I was referring to where the wheels were rubbing and bent his sheet metal. This scares me about going with 20s with springs, which is why 19s are still in consideration.

I don't rub anymore lol. I guess the two times it happened were a fluke or another sound.

But the rubbing I'd like to eliminate. So I'm trying to find the right combination of springs (going with the Ark springs), wheels (Ace Devotions 19s or 20s), wheel size, and offset (?) to not rub.

mine are 20x9 and 20x10.5 with 35 offset and 45 offset respectively. tires are 255/35 and 285/35.

Ace got 20's but hasn't installed the springs yet I believe. You can also get those rims in 20x8.5 too but I'm in the same boat as you, kind of a horror story on what happened with all that rubbing. Not to mention he has 3.8 I'm sure the 5.0 would rub more then his.

I got some tabs in front relocated and the fenders slightly rolled and the rubbing went away completely. The ARK springs drop more aggressively than the storms though so take my experience with a grain of salt.

Whether you go with 19s or 20s, the overall wheel size (rim+tire) would be the same so you might as well go with 20s. 18s will rub as well as 19s as well as 20s if every variable were to remain the same. The again, don't let us decide for you. Get what you want and screw what we say.

I agree with the 20s.. The Genesis is a pretty big car, aesthetically 20s work bestto fill the wheel wells with the appropriate amount of rim/tire. I think 19s on a lowered Genesis would work but not with the drop provided by the ark or storm springs... IMO

the original 19 dh wheels are nice. so genesis.

a drop would finish it off. with 420 horses you will be king of the road.
