  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Parking sensors stopped working. I have to put the car either in park or reverse before sensors start beeping.

Already had the haptic motor replaced. Then weird front collision sensor reported error one day in the rain and now this is acting up. I'm kind of glad I leased this car and have 2.5 years to go.

Anyone else have this problem?

Thanks - Sid

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
Are you sure you didn't inadvertently turn off the parking sensors (Large "P" button located on the console)?

I had a similar problem when I had snow and slush caked on the front of the car. Front radar error and parking sensors were acting up when I slowed down below 12mph. Problem went away a few hours later when temps warmed up and snow melted. Haven't had any issues since.

You want a trouble free car.... Don't buy a premium car..... These cars are loaded with electronics. Combine mechanical and electronics and you are just going to have problems at times.
If any of you every looked at the repair manual for Genesis you will be impressed how complicated this vehicle is.............. Overall I think Genesis has done a brilliant putting this car together ............ I have owned several top end Hyundai cars and I'm happy to say--- ZERO --- problems so far :=)

Alwaysforward - you can see in that video I had the car in drive and the moment I put it in reverse the parking system started working. I'll double check again this morning.

Xsolara- good for u buddy but i leased a $50k car so I would have a nice car that would be reliable and trouble free. Parking sensors have been around long enough. My Porsche 911 turbo is 7 years old without any electrical gremlins and way more modified. When this car works, it has been the coolest car I've driven. But at this rate, I'm glad to see it go in a couple of years.

so far no issues with mine. hopefully yours get taken care of.

You sure you didn't turn off the parking sensor? When is off they only come on when you put the car on reverse

I'm wondering if he turned the button off also. I turned mine off one day because I was at a drive up ATM and it was going off. Forgetting I turned it off when I drove back into my garage and it didn't work when going in forward but would come on in reverse. Just check the button to make sure it's illuminated, it's very easy to overlook.
