some simple 2016 Ultra questions

I just bought my third Genesis. It is an AWD Ultra. One puzzle is that it did not come with a cargo net. My two prior ones (2010 and 2013) had the nets and I found them to be useful. What gives?

Out of general curiosity, does anyone know if the parking assistant works by sound (effectively air sonar)?

The adaptive cruise control that sets distance apparently uses radar, but what looks at the lines on the road for lane departure warning? I assume this must be optical.

And finally, what kind of sensors are used for the blind spot warning? BTW, I love the heads-up display and particularly its inclusion of the blind spot info.

Cargo nets are distributor or dealer installed options. Contact your dealer to buy one.

In the USA, there is no Ultra version. The highest is Ultimate, and it does not have parking assist.

For what it's worth, here in the UK I found the cargo net tucked into the glove compartment.
A camera set into the windscreen looks at the lane lines.
According to the owners manual (there is a picture of the car showing the sensor positions) there are sensors under the bodywork in the rear corners. It really works well and very useful warning of motor cyclists especially.

My car (Ultimate, sorry for the error) has something the manual calls Parking Assist System. I had the same thing on my 2013 and have found it to be very helpful.

I think the parking assist warns you when some part of the car gets too close to another car/object. This is different from the rear cross-traffic warning. I think it uses ultrasonics to do its work. There is a button on the console for it; if it is on the warning works going forward and backward, if off it only works going backward.

That was my guess. I recall a comment in my 2013 manual that said it may not work in a very noisy environment, so I assumed it was using sound.

The highest is Ultimate, and it does not have parking assist.

You might want to do more research before you post definitive statements that are wrong.

The USA G2 does have Parking Assist at the Tech Package trim level and above:

Looking at your second graphic down showing the positions of the sensor 'buttons' set into the rear bumper, mine has an additional pair, set just behind the rear wheels.

The USA cars don't have those, so they must be for the Smart Parking Assist feature that is not available here.
