V8 No Longer Available

On the Hyundai website I see that the V8 is no longer being offered. Perhaps it's gone and when the 2017 Genesis G80 debuts the 3.3 TT will be offered as the optional engine.

5.0 V8 is still offered when ordering a 2015 Genesis.

Wow my last Genesis was only produced for one year as well (2012 Non-RSpec 5.0).

Wow that's interesting, but not completely surprising.

Thought plenty of the pictures in the gallery are of of the V8 including the main Genesis page. The 2016 had disappeared previously too, so nothing is for sure - but it would not surprise me as I have yet to even see a 2015 V8 here in densely populated NJ. Guessing G80 might just go with the 3.8 & 3.3T? We'll see in a few months... maybe even next month at the NY Auto Show?

Two days ago, I was in Chicago Auto Show and they had new G90 3.3T Htrac, G90 5.0 Htrac and G80 3.8 on display.

I am with you, if I would not lose so much money on a trade in for a V6 I would do it tomorrow. :roll eyes:

Turbo's are fun though as power increases are a snap. My son in laws 605hp Audi RS7 is now packing 740hp and over 900 lbs of torque with a little reprogramming.

Yes, but that's not just a turbo, that's a Turbo V8! I would just quietly move to the right lane.

The Genesis Motors page indicates that the G80 will still have the 5.0 V8.

Unfortunately, I did not. We were too busy just walking around and taking pics.

on a side note, the g90 is pretty bland. I can't see any type of a fire from this car. It doesnt really draw u in to own one.

I agree the ...I was at the Chicago Auto Show and viewed the G90 and was sort of disappointed ...it just seems OK.
The higher end Audi's looked more updated and classy
I also hate the new style Genesis winged logo... it looks dated.

15-20K more will get you a more "modern logo" on an A8
