I posted this in the Bluetooth/GPS/Electronics subforum 2 weeks ago and have received no responses, so I'm taking the liberty of posting here. Hope that isn't violating any forum rules.
New 2016 Ultimate. When I connect my S7 Edge it pairs immediately and everything is fine until it starts downloading contacts. It says it is downloading contacts and then disconnects the phone. It then reconnects, starts downloading again, and then disconnects again. This goes on continuously.
The only way I am able to get it to stop disconnecting is to disable data sharing in the phone's bluetooth options for the car connection. The phone then connects normally and stays connected. But every time I start the car it tries to download contacts and I have to tell it not to try again.
I've also tried:
1) Connecting via USB with the exact same results and
2) Bluetoot File Transfer app (finds the service but cannot connect)
Has anyone experienced anything similar and if so is there a work-around or fix? Thanks much in advance.
