I tried to do a search but came up empty handed.....can someone tell me how I get power to be on to the Power Outlet without the key on? Thanks.
 
If yo are trying to run power in the car, ie radio, DVD, etc. Simply press the start/stop button without touching the brake. If I understand you correctly.
 
Power to the power outlet goes off when you shut engine down.

Probably done to prevent returning to a dead car w/a drained battery after leaving an Ipod, phone, etc. plugged into the outlet. Someone might/will come up with an override for this. Lots of technical savvy on this site!
