Wrap has basic coverage that doesn't cover what the manufacturer offers. Comprehensive coverage covers Wrap plus things that are warranted by the manufacturer.
My purchase is almost completed and should be getting the car by week end. Prices for coverage have been all over the place. I've learned more about Vehicle Service Contracts than I ever wanted to. Cost, coverage, exclusions...feeling a headache coming on.
My credit union has a 84 month/100,000 mile/$50 deductible with National Auto Care for $1187. Problem is, National has very low ratings online and their BBB rating is dismal.
My insurance company (USAA) has a 72 month/100,000 mile/$0 deductible with Assurant Solutions for $1487. Assurant has been around a while with middling ratings. They also don't have 24/7 support. So, don't break down after 6pm!
My auto broker has a 72 month/100,000 total mileage/$100 deductible with SafeGuard for $1586. This is the same company backing the HPP plan below, except it doesn't have Hyundai branding. Also, the exclusions are different.
Hyundai Protection Plan Platinum Comprehensive 10 years/100,000 mile/$0 deductible from the dealer as $2500. YIKES! Hyundai outsources it's claims handling to SafeGuard. They have above average ratings and this plan is accepted at all Hyundai dealers. There are exclusions, so read the contract available online.
Endurance has coverage, but they won't talk to you about coverage until your near the end of your warranty.
