Good Everyone.....
I hope all is well with you all. Have a little dilemma regarding my car and trying to see what direction I should go. Back in May of 2015 I purchased a new Genny 3.8 with the Ultimate package. It’s parisian gray with ivory interior. It’s a good looking car! It’s rides good, quite good on gas, gets a lot of looks, etc.... I was really enjoying this car up until 2 weeks ago where it totaled stalled out on me on a major street here in Dallas, Texas. Every warning light that the had came on. It would power up but couldn’t restart it. Called Hyundai’s roadside assistance and they were very pleasant with getting me help for the car. Had to get it towed to the dealer. The tow truck driver was really nice wasn’t a jerk at all he gets my car to my dealer and calls me to inform me that he dropped it off and all. Now my dealer gets to the diagnosis of this car. They were a full week in and still couldn’t get it started up. So the following week they have a field service technician to come to the dealer and find that the ECM, fuse junction box, and engine wiring harness was shorted out. With a car that is a year and half old and 36,000 miles you wouldn’t expect these issues to happen on a vehicle that has over a $50,000 sticker price on it. So they ordered the necessary parts to do the repairs on it and get a call Friday saying the car was fixed and ready for pick up. So I goes to pick it up Saturday afternoon.... They had all cleaned, waxed, and full of gas. Goes to sign off on the paperwork, gets in the car, gets ready to pull out and damn lights came back on again with the exception it stayed running. I backs up right back in the service department show them what the car has done. They put my car in the service bay and that ECM goes bad. At this point I don’t have faith in the car anymore because 5 minutes before it shut down on me I had just gotten off the interstate and now I can’t leave the dealership and immediately acts up again. I feel like I need to let this car go and have them to try to do a buyback on it. If they don’t do it i’m still gonna part with it. Me and automotive electrical don’t get along... Any thoughts???
