Ok... Here's a question.
On a hot day in Florida I left our cat Molly in the car with the motor running and the air on for just a couple of minutes. Upon my return, I found that the mirrors were retracted and the door was locked. No problem - right. After all I had my proximity card key in my wallet as always, so I pressed the door button to unlock...NOTHING! Would not unlock.
I could open the trunk by pressing the trunk button (motorized trunk). I tried locking the trunk with the push button lock feature on the trunk but it just beeped at me. Pressed "close" on the trunk and it closed. Still, the proximity card would not allow me to get into the car!! There is a slim key in the proximity card, but it would not fit in the door slot (have to check that out with the dealer).
What is one to do??
I called the local dealership, but couldn't get past the "press one, press two" robot. Left them a message of which was never returned. Big help there.
Returned to the vehicle to find my fiancé' sitting IN THE CAR! Get this - Molly the cat had stepped on the window lock button, unlocking the windows. Then she went to the back window and briefly stepped on the window down button lowering the window about an inch. Fiance' was able to use a swifter wand to press the window button enough to get her hand in to open the door.
My question is, how would you ever unlock the door otherwise???
