IF the performance and value proposition remains I see this selling better than the G80.

Im pretty sure this will sell more than the g80 either way because it is the lower entry model

i'm kinda hopin' the G70 doesn't sell all that well. That way i might be able to get a highly subsidized lease on one come next summer!

My first post here, so please be bear with me.

I came here to look for info on the 2015-2016 G80, I actually had not heard of the G70 (I work stupid hours, my only excuse) so when I saw the G70 name I had to do a quick search. Yes, to me it does look like a Q50, with a couple of touches of Audi thrown in, not a bad start by any means. While the car is not as attractive as say an Alfa Giuila, it's certainly a good looking car.

As someone who has over the years owned a couple of "hot" Hyundai's (a Scoupe Turbo was one of my all time favorite cars) I do have a soft spot for their "hot" products.

While the G80 was my primary target, I think i'm actually going to wait until the pricing comes out on these just to see, if they can bring the 4 cylinder in in the mid to high $20's and the V6 in the high $20-low $30's then it really has to be a car I give a serious look at. While I am sure Hyundai/Genesis doesn't want to "cheapen" the brand, the simple realities of life to me means that it has to undercut the 3 series/ A4's of the world, but also (not something I have mentioned here) it also needs to undercut the Model 3 from Tesla. Also, Alfa is offering some very competitive leases on the Giulia ($3500 down/$269 a month)

Anyways, I like the interior, not a big fan of the GPS, but I could live with that, the seats look very nice, I like the dash.

Sedans in general aren't selling as it used to and I don't see the crossover trend dying anytime soon. Given the model 3 is also coming out at the same time at the same price bracket I would guess the g70 will have a hard time with sales. That being said I'm pretty much convinced I'm going to trade in my 2015 genesis for a 3.3T G70 once they roll out incentives for leases. Just trying to figure whether to get the bright blue or white.

More than 50% of Lexus sales are now SUV or Crossovers. For Acura, it is way more than 50%.

Ford just very recently shut down their car manufacturing lines for a couple of weeks to burn off some inventory. Trucks, SUV's, and crossovers were not affected.
