  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Sunroof seals/gaskets

How is the 2018 compared to yours? Do you notice any difference in driving/dynamics?

Alright, dealer called, sounds like they got a new seal which had the same problem being short. They said they are calling a OEM parts investigation team to see why this part is not the same as the original part. Told me to keep the loaner as long as I need or they can temp stretch the seals until they get it figured out.

So I'm keep this car for the week and if they have no word I'll take it back and go on vacation and see what they find after.

Not a bad deal. Sucks the seals keep being short, but is awesome that you get to drive around in a 2018 in the meantime.

I'm def not complaining, I'm just glad the dealer is being responsible and investigating on the reason rather than installing it and handing it back to me like the original poster of this thread.

The 2018 loaner is just a bonus at this point.

Always good to have a responsible dealer. That's one concern I do have with our cars is that my local dealer seems a bit.. meh, In fact, among other dealers they have a bit of a bad reputation. Hopeful that my first visit to their service department is contrary to their reviews.
