Hello Everyone,
I am the second owner of a 2014 Genesis 5.0 R-spec Sedan and I have to say I am totally loving this car. I traded in my 2014 Hyundai Veloster Turbo in order to get the R-spec and although I had no issues with the Veloster, I now can see why Genesis owners have big smiles. I do want to make a comment though. While I was a Veloster owner, the forum and Facebook groups I was part of had alot of information on performance upgrades and ways to squeeze out as much horsepower as you can from the turbo 4 cylinder. I spent 4 years upgrading my Veloster. Rims, tires, Cross drilled rotors all around, Magnaflow exhaust, Lowering springs, Cold air intake, custom grille, etc.........But the more I drive this R-spec, the less I want to change anything on it. I mean, 429hp stock?? 0-60mph in 5.1 seconds?? 19" stock rims and its completely loaded with every option that was available at that time. Not to mention that it successfully competes with cars almost 3 times its price!!!! This is the first time I have been completely satisfied with a car in its factory form and I've owned a lot of vehicles in my time. Maybe its just the honeymoon stage and once I get past it, the performance upgrade bug will bite me once again. But until then, I am going to enjoy this car the way it is.....
My Two Cents =)
