Did you ever get this solved? I am having the same problem but can duplicate it!
Thanks for the replies. I just setup a case number with Hyundai and will follow up with the dealer this week!
I have a 2012 Genesis and have had the engine stop while driving twice since
October. No indicator lights come on. Both times I was driving under 25 mph
making a turn. Very scary to have this happen. First time I took the car back
and service writer could not duplicate the problem. Today I dropped the car
back again with a different service writer who told me he has never heard
of this problem and" has been in the business many years".
I am worried this is something that they cannot fix and I am not going to be
confident about driving the car without worrying about whether or not it may
shut down while driving for no reason.
Anyone else have a similar problem?
Thanks for any comments or advise.
This exact same thing happened to me today - extremely scary experience. I have a 2012 Hyundai Genesis RSpec with 85,000 miles. Was driving down the interstate - started to get a message on my navigation system saying "not to use while engine was not running" but the engine was running - I was driving then got a message "check power system" and then all lights on the dash came on and the car died including power steering at 75 miles an hour on the interstate - we lucky to get to the side of the road without an accident. Once there, nothing worked - no emergency lights, no trunk opener - nothing. Had it towed to the dealership waiting on diagnostics but am completely rocked by the experience - how will I ever be able to trust this will not happen again? Please let me know your thoughts - I am so disappointed!

My spouse just borrowed my 2012 Genesis and reported the same thing happened. He found it unsettling.I have a 2012 Genesis and have had the engine stop while driving twice since

Don’t mean to gravedigger but is there a link or anything to the terminal clamp you used? Currently having the same issueI had this happen a few times. It turned out to be the positive battery terminal not being tight enough. In fact, you can never make it tight enough, especially if you are in a really cold environment. The clamp mechanism uses a ramp type gizmo that does not tighten well. I ultimately replaced it with an assembly that clamped tight as you tighten the bolt. Has not happened since.
The way I proved it was to complete the circuit with one side of a set of jumper cables. Once the car started, I knew I was on the right path.
I just adjusted my battery cable on the positive side (it was easily removed by hand). I added a spacer on the adjustment clip to allow for a tighter fit. All in all it is a poorly designed post clamp. Seriously hope that it corrects the problem.Don’t mean to gravedigger but is there a link or anything to the terminal clamp you used?
