  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Accolades to the Hyundai Marketing Department for working overtime.
First, the license plate frame.
Today, a very nicely printed and packaged Roadside Assistance Card with numbers, etc.

May I suggest that we flood Joel Ewanick with letters so that he can get his budget increased to help all of us. At least he can work to get MapNSoft to release their GPS update!
I've sent mine to:

Great job Joel and team! Thanks!:grouphug:

While I like the frame the roadside assistance card is a dup of information delivered with the car.

As for increased marketing budget.... Generally greater marketing budget means lower engineering budget... I would rather Hyundai plow the money into R&D.

Having said that, Hyundai is the most aggressive brand I have ever owned.

I am not sure that the Hyundai Motor America budget has anything to do with the engineering budget in Korea, but I do think HMA should be saving up warranty budgets to fix the suspension, or maybe hire a roadside assitance company that actually shows up when you call them.

Suspension issues? I haven't seen an TSB on the subject...

Do you know who Hyundai has farmed road assistance out to?

No TSB's on suspension because it is a design problem, not a defect per se. The 2010 will see improvements (even if slight) and I want those on my 2009.

I don't really know if the auto and rental car companies that farm out roadside assistance know how bad these companies really are, but they should start kicking ass based on feedback from this and other forums.

This disclaimer is probably a good idea since a quck google search shows that CCMC outsources towing services to companies who hire a large number of known sex offenders.

I've kept my Triple A service....it's only about $80/year for the Gold service, and I've had it so long--just a little over $6/month...not a bad deal considering!

Interestingly, I've never used their towing service on any of my cars--but I've used them frequently when friend's cars break down!

I bought my Genesis on June 30th, should I stop waiting for the nice Genesis license plate people are receiving and go get my own? I register the car tomorrow?

The dealer I bought my Genesis from here in South Seattle has the chrome "GENESIS" plates for $19.99 and two for $32.99. Not a bad deal.

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
Tonight, bottom of the 8th, Dodger Stadium

Yep, I drove my Genesis to the game :)

I was recently in an accident 2018 G80 where airbags deployed and due to collision near gas tank all power cut which assume good safety feature, even Emergency flashers did not work. Couldn't use SOS Roadside Assist button as no power so had to find cell phone and call into Genesis Roadside.
Here is where it gets really annoying. First despite injury I had to find my VIN number and give it to them, refused to accept my name address - phone tied to account or date of birth etc as identification. Genesis Refused "Could not "assist" without me providing VIN number first."
After giving them VIN Genesis Rep said there is no way for them to locate my vehicle location and I needed to find my gaps location based off my google maps cell and tell them. I thought Genesis should be able to track car with satellite at last location prior to power loss or air bag deployment, but no luck. They can unlock you car remotely for gosh sake.
Once I provided my gps location off my cell phone, despite my informing Genesis Roadside Assist I need help as I was alone disoriented on country road middle of no where not in a safe location they refused to call local police - only local tow truck... told me to call 911/?!? How about at least connecting me to 911!!!
This is Roadside Assist ?
Doesn't GM OnStar dispatch Emergency Assistance if a vehicle's air bags deploy in an accident even if driver is unresponsive? Genesis needs to step it up.
The best part .... later when I called Genesis Roadside to see how much longer for tow truck they asked me for case number which I said I didn't have... then Rep merely asked for my phone number tied to my account to give me info on tow truck dispatch!!!! Now they could identify me by phone number.... but injured I had to struggle to get glove box open and find VIN before Roadside would help. Awful Experience!!! Anyone have experience with Genesis Roadside "Assist"in an Emergency?

So let me get this straight....you're in a 1-car accident in a remote location where you are injured, disoriented, and your car is completely disabled...and your first call is to roadside assistance? Are you serious? And then you're mad because they won't connect you to 911?

When you're in an accident call 911. Everything else is secondary. I thought everyone knew this. :wallbash:
