Check your state laws. Some have darker in the back but have the lighter front so they will comply. As the driver, you also have to see out at night and too dark may not work for you.How are you approaching tinting? The same all around? Darker for the back?
Or province, if in Canada. I believe that Canadian tint laws are quite strict on the front side windows, but it various by province (some don't allow any tint all on front sides).Check your state laws.
Agreed.. pretty sure everywhere in Canada the front side windows are illegal if tinted but every 2nd car i see has tinted windows and some are even limo tint.. you probably wont get pulled over but you will most likely get a ticket if you get pulled over for something else.Or province, if in Canada. I live in the southern US and I would never consider a 15 VLT on front side windows, or even the rear glass. With a quality ceramic tint film, one can get excellent heat rejection with a 35 VLT or even higher (I have a 50 VLT ceramic tint film on my Genesis, except for windshield).Agreed.. pretty sure everywhere in Canada the front side windows are illegal if tinted but every 2nd car i see has tinted windows and some are even limo tint.. you probably wont get pulled over but you will most likely get a ticket if you get pulled over for something else.
I find 15 tint too dark at night for the front side windows as its hard to see but each to their own
I will refer back to this post for my next vehicle. It sounds like an interesting option.I live in the southern US and I would never consider a 15 VLT on front side windows, or even the rear glass. People who want privacy, should get a black interior, coupled with a ceramic tint film that has a VLT of about 35-50, and you will have more than sufficient privacy inside the car.
Well, I can certainly see why. The average high temperature in July (the hottest month of the year in Edmonton, Alberta) is a blistering 73.6 F.I've ordered mine with 20-25% on the back 5 windows, nothing on the driver/passenger windows or windshield. I'll post pics when the car arrives.
If possible, could you post a pic or two? I'm leaning towards 35% tint on all the windows (except the windshield) and would like to see what it looks like.I have 35% on all the windows except the windshield. This is the maximum legal tint in Illinois.
Unless you use the exact same tint film (not just same VLT) it may look different. A full ceramic 35 will look a lot different than a carbon 35, etc.If possible, could you post a pic or two? I noticed your trim around your door is not even. Mine is the same way. Only the top of the trim is off center. The bottom of the trim below the window is perfectly in line. How long have you had yours?
