  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

What more am I getting with the dynamic over the sport 3.3t?

From an earlier post by Beefer:

This is what you paid $750 more over the Sport...
  • Michelin Pilot Sport 4S summer tires
  • Performance brake pads
  • Unique electronically controlled suspension tuning
  • Upgraded thermal capacity
  • Heated steering wheel (AWD only)
  • Tire Mobility Kit (TMK) for reduced weight

I thought the all awd versions had the heated steering wheel? Also don't all the 3.3t sports have the brembo brake pads and electronically controlled suspension?

Also, what's upgraded thermal capacity mean?

The Sport does have it. But the trim description is stating what is added over and beyond.
The Dynamic has even better Brembo's over the regular ones. Bigger pads I think...not ceramic or anything.
As for the thermal capacity...since this is geared towards taking the car to the track...I think it adds additional cooling to the engine or trans...dunno. I can only assume it helps cool the car down more after repeated "launch mode" runs.

I'm sure he, or someone else, will be along shortly to fill us in. :gee:

Yes, it's for cooling the engine.

I read a car blog article that suggested the thermal capacity might be referring to larger radiator.

I feel like no one has concrete information on this. The other stuff as well seems like it's conjecture. I'm trying to debate if it's worth it for me to even shop for the dynamic edition. I'm debating the g80 3.3t sport vs g70 sport/dynamic.

Great speech...but just wait until all tunes come into fruition. The biturbo has so much potential it’s nuts. Come back in a couple of months as things settle. The G70 will be in Alfa G Q territory with tuning. Mustang will just be a blip.

Until you throw aspiration at the Coyote. Hahaha. Either way, it's not a knock to the G70/Stinger. They're not technically a direct competitor to each other and the G70/Stinger are still very nice.

My dealer told me it's extra cooling capacity.

not to knock what anyone is told but i definitely wouldnt make any decisions based on 'extra cooling capacity'. we dont know what that means beyond marketing speak. is the radiator bigger, intercooler size or efficiency, we dont know. is it even something thats needed since i havent heard anyone saying the car is pulling power due to heatsoak. if you want the dynamic, your decision should honestly only be based on the 'limited' nature of the run because thats the biggest thing it has going for it

It’s only $750...no biggie.

Usually the case, but sometimes they have added transmission cooling by adding a small radiator too. Would be nice to get a better definition. Once someone actually see the car and crawls around they may be able to tell us.

I’m thinking the latter...cheaper. Fme...watch it be an included Yeti mug...LOL.
