  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

G70 US Availability?

Beefer I aint got no beef with ya. Do you think its a good idea to lease a 50k car for 800 USD /month ??? how many here think its a decent deal
I’m paying $615 per month. You can’t just throw numbers out like that...lot’s of stuff going.

So...calm down...and let’s sort this out.

What is your final price they are giving you? Anything off MSRP?

What do you drive now? Conquest Incentive is $1k. Lease cash back is $2,500.

We can hit LeaseHackr and get your numbers.

I think Edmunds has the November MF/RV numbers for what you want.

MSRP 50,300 change
Lease terms 36 months /15k Miles per year
Downpayment 3000 USD
No incentives what so ever.
Monthly payment 765+taxes that would come to pax 800 and not with any wear and tear nor any other protections

I currently drive Lexus IS200t
Its a 46,000 MSRP and pay 380/month for 36/15k a year with down 2500

PS: no one should every pay more than 1% /month of MSRP of the car on a lease with 0 down.

Your last statement is false...sorry...reality.

What State do you live in...for tax purposes?

Florida. Why would say my last statement is false ?
The 1% thing is a myth. It varies so much for each car. You could be at 60% residual...or you could be at 50%.

Hold tight...getting you some numbers.

Here you go...much better I think.

I assume this is the car? 2019 G70 RWD 3.3T Design Edition...

New 2019 Genesis G70 For Sale in Atlanta GA | VIN: KMTG34LE1KU012904
Window Sticker...
https://www.genesisatlanta.com/exte.../windowsticker?vin=KMTG34LE1KU012904&status=2

MSRP is $50,920

15k miles/36 months

MF = 0.00065 (1.56% APR)
RV = 50% (pretty bad...could you go 10k miles)

$2,500 Lease Cash Back
$1,000 Conquest Offer (you drive a Lexus)

Let's plug in the numbers...going with 6% sales tax in FL.

Registration and doc fee: $764.75
Acquisition fee: $750
Total Tax: $3,055

So...with $4,500 down...your payments are at $679 per month.
If you pay the aquisition fee of $750 in your DP...you can bring that down to $657. But that DP is getting high.

That is zero off of MSRP. You can work this.

Let's say you get $1k off MSRP (that is what I got...total of $4,500 off).
Your monthly payment would be $650 per month...DP = $4,410 inc first payment.

Oh...and if you do zero down based on above...you are very close to the 1.5% rule. It's actually not bad at all.

Tell them to apply $2500 lease cash plus $1000 conquest incentivesand you be around $640 taxes included with $3000 down. You can go lower then that but you'll need to lower the sell price under the MSRP which is doable.

Read my reply...put in a link to LeaseHackr. More like $650/month with $4,400 down (inc. 1st payment)...that includes $1k below MSRP + the 2 incentives.

You used Virginia tax rules in your calculations. In most states, Florida included I believe, the tax is not paid up front but rather each month with the payment.

With no money down on the lease and just paying the first payment, doc/reg/tax on cap (2,024), I come up with $689 a month including taxes if he got an extra $1k off MSRP.

leasehackr.com/calculator?make=Genesis&msrp=50,920&sales_price=49,920&months=36&mf=0.00065&dp=0&doc_fee=684&acq_fee=750&taxed_inc=3500&untaxed_inc=0&rebate=0&resP=50&reg_fee=400&sales_tax=6&memo=&monthlyTax_radio=true&miles=15000&msd=0

If he took the $1k left over and put it down then the payment would be $659 a month,

We are all using amounts that are a little different but in the ball park enough that the payment should be under $700 a month. Sounds like the dealer may have been marking up the MF or there is some other factor we don't know about, maybe negative trade in equity or something.

Oppps...I changed it to the 1st option. That brings the Drive-Off to ~$2k. Since he said he was putting $3k down...I added $1k to the down payment...and I get $659 per month.

Mind you...the above DOES assume he get's $1k off of MSRP.

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
If he really honed in on his negotiating skills...and managed to pull off $2k below MSRP...we are talking $3k down and $629/month.

But like you said...we are so close here...and have proven that it's not bad at all.

Looks like we lost @governor LOL
lol no ... I am still here. I guess I was hoping to get my regular 10 - 15% off of MSRP like we get on almost every car including A4 and C300 and more on Q50

Personally I lease only because it's cheaper. But if leasing is as expensive as financing a lightly used car that is one year old (2018 cars are normally sold at 65%-70% value of MSRP) I would alway recommend financing.

@governor ...if you are dealing with Genesis of Atlanta (like you said)...as for Michael in the Genesis section. He is a Genesis Specialist that I dealt with. Nice guy.
