2019 Genesis G70 review: A familiar formula, but a little bit sweeter

It kinda has the first side-by-side comparison in it. The reviewer says it drives better than the BMW 4 Series that he just reviewed. That's high praise since the 4 Series is still considered a good BMW driving car. That doesn't say how it'll hold up vs. the new 3 Series, but close for now.

Their opinions aren't anything super notable, but one line did stand out to me. One of the people talked about how they drove it for the North American Car of the Year awards, and while he wasn't impressed, he mentioned that he was in the minority opinion that found absolutely anything wrong with the car. So the G70 was apparently super well-received and talked about by the journalists there.

I don't see that at all? He was pretty positive on the G70 and completely spot on about how screwed up the Genesis launch has been and the big problem they face with their lack of CUV/SUV'S when that is the big market these days...

Unlike Canada, the US 6MT Sport does not. However, both of the automatic Sport trims do (2.0 and 3.3).
 
A good number of the reviews to date have been from Canadian publications outside of those early looks from the press tour so it makes sense that we'll start seeing different views of the car in reviews now that US reviews are starting to come out in earnest. For me now it's more listening to what they say about the car's aspects than trying to equate to a specific build of the car. Sounds like we'll have a real dogs breakfast of feature mixes place to place.

The comparison that not many would have looked for. ;-) Being a long time Mustang guy though I did look back at the numbers.

Watched it while waiting on my delayed flight. Good video for sure, I like the stuff they do.
