  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

What things don't you like in the G70?

I've never actually even seen the key fob. Anyone got a picture of it?

Agree with the key fob being unnecessarily large.

Anyone here use the Genesis connected services? I like how I can track the location of my car and open/close/start the car using my phone app, but it takes forever to refresh the status - like a good 30 second wait to update from the last status. I wouldn't pay for it but it's good that it's complimentary for 3 years.

My TL SH-AWD fob wasn't that big. But the Genesis fob is bigger than most.
Here's it is in comparison to the 2019 Kia Sorento fob.

- in my car with a black interior, genesis decided that the space between the back window and back seats should not be black and instead tan. I see it every time I look in my rear view and it’s weird seeing black seats and a tan piece of fabric

That's based on your headliner colour.

For the trims with the dark chrome I wish they would have also made the "G70" and "Genesis" badges dark chrome as well. I went with a polished stainless steel license plate frame instead of a smoke/dark chrome as I think it looks better matching the chrome badges. It's been mentioned many times but the HTRAC badge can go bye bye entirely.

While I can see why the rear ledge might match the headliner, I certainly agree that black with black upholstery would look better. And FWIW, I also agree with Sir Freddy, but I will probably remove all badges from trunk. That is IF they ever start to sell cars in California.

OK. I finally found something I would change. I find myself reaching for the temp dial when I'm actually trying for the fan speed. I don't know which vehicle I have that habit from, but that is the only thing I would change. When you think about it though, the temp makes more sense being on the left as it gets adjusted more often than the fan speed. Especially if you have the climate control set to Auto, so it should stay where it is.

I'd agree that temp should be on the left. I use auto climate 95% of time so I'll rarely use the fan knob. What I would add, not a dislike though, is putting the temperature readout on the temperature knob in addition to showing on the screen. I'm not sure how common this is with other brands but I did like how Audi does this.

Subaru does it as well. At least on the current Outback. Wish they did with the G70. The knob is big enough for it!

I agree that the read out on the dial is nice, but your eyes are looking further down while driving.

Yeah...but your eyes are already looking at it as you reach for it. Unless you’re a peripheral kinda of guy...LOL.

I don't look at that one when I'm reaching for it.

So, I just got my 3.3T AWD G70 Sport. I like the car, but there are a couple of things that I'm not too happy with.

First off, the engine noise is loud. Like really loud. When I start the car in the garage it sounds like there's no oil circulating. It's off the charts loud.

To call it a sedan is a joke. Sure, it has 4 doors, but the back seat is only usable for small children and pets. An adult, assuming they can even get in there, would be extremely uncomfortable after about 5 minutes back there. I'm 5'8" and I tried to sit behind the driver's seat and could barely squeeze myself in there.

There is substantially less room in this car and the trunk, than other cars in this class.

USB in the arm rest is for charging only. I wish it was also good for media. The first thing I did with my G70 was take it on an 1,800 mile trip. So I had the Android Auto running through the main USB but no place for a memory stick with music on it.

It takes FOREVER for the connected services to do anything, i.e. start the car, lock the doors etc.. I wish they had put the remote start on the key fob like most other cars.

The only thing above that makes me 2nd guess my purchase is the engine noise. The rest of it is just a nuisance.

Now, all that being said, there is a much longer list of things I love about the car. I'll detail that elsewhere.

you feel the exhaust is loud? to me it sounds perfectly normal, and if anything, it needs to be louder! (this is a sports sedan after all) Have you checked to see if you have your synth noise turned all the way up to the enhanced setting? could be the cause

also a road trip during the break in period? whew youre brave, but glad you got a chance to test the car out. Im loving my 3.3 too

As joschneider said, hopefully the engine noise is because of the enhanced engine note. It should be in the Vehicle settings in the infotainment.

How was the road trip for you? Comfortable? How'd it compare to your last car?
