The chime speaker is NOT the same as the horn. I really don't know what or where it is but for sure is the same device that beeps when the you approach to the trunk when the smart trunk is active. What I'm trying to troubleshoot is that your problem is related directly to the alarm or if is just the speaker.

Thank you. I now know what the smart trunk is. I got the other problem fixed too. I had an appt with service this morning. The service Mgr had know idea how to fix the problem, nor did the mechanic that he spoke to. While I was waiting the GEneral Manager of the dealership came over to say hello and asked why I was there. She took my keys and fixed the problem. The beep is adjusted by turning the sound on the vehicle setting to as high as it goes. And your right, it is just a chirp. No harm, no foul and I didn’t have to be at the dealership for more than 10minutes. Thank you so very much for your help

Dany is my name and no, I'm not a mechanic, just that the G70 is my third Genesis car. I've been dealing with them since 2014. These years gave me "some" knowledge about them.

Oddly enough, I am a mechanic but I haven’t been on the bench since 1996. I also worked on cars that had carburetors and absolutely no bells and whistles at all. I’m blown away by all the features that this car has, probably because I traded in a 2011 Sonata. I also have a 2003 Corvette convertible 6 speed that I drive in the spring and summer only. Oddly though, the Corvette has a HUDthat allows you to add whichever gauges the you want to see. I have fuel and oil pressure up on mine. I’m told that can’t be done on the Genesis though. I’m in Toronto. Where in the world are you?

Miami, Florida, the southern part of North America. Unfortunately that's true, you can't add those gauges to the HUD. I also had a 2012 Sonata before getting in the Genesis world. These car are amazing, with the best value for the money you can get.

Go through all the settings. Perhaps there is an option to turn that off. This car has so many crazy settings.

I posted the online manual in the appropriate thread. Download the PDF and do a search.
