Is this a new noise? My tires creak on the epoxy coated garage floor.Hi Everyone. Pretty much every morning when I first back out of my garage and I turn the steering wheel there is a mild creeking/crackling sound coming from what sounds like the steering wheel rack. 2015 AWD Ultimate. 42k miles. Anyone else experience this?
I bought the car used and it's made three nose since I got it with 42k miles. This happens on all surfaces until car is warm.Is this a new noise? My tires creak on the epoxy coated garage floor.
Same thing here. Only happens when I turn the wheel. And it's summer here, so everything is nice and warm. No winter time creaks.
Seems like it's coming from under the Genesis emblem. I want to pop the horn cover off myself, but since I'm still in warranty, will consult with the dealer first.
If anyone finds a solution, please let me know.

it's not a spring in the clock that tells time. It's a spring in the steering column. Trust me, have it replaced. It'll solve the issue. You did say "clock" spring?? How could the clock make the steering wheel area creak?
