  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
    If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Well I do love these wheels, but they are no match for Belgium block curbs. I managed to sustain a small curb rash which I have carefully smoothed with a high speed rotary tool. Now I need to touch up the finish. Any ideas where I can get matching paint? Thanks.

Try tuch-up paint from a Hyundai dealer, code NY.

I'll take note if the results are worth it. I just Fuc*** up a wheel tonight leaving a super tight parking ramp leaving work.

Has anyone tried this touch-up paint or found any other good match for the wheels?

Thanks

Code NY, Titanium Grey Metallic, is correct, as code AU, Platinum metallic is too light for those wheels. The issue with the Hyundai touch up paint is that the applicator it comes with isn't very good. I had someone from a paint store try and match the wheels and they came up with this color code, it works great and I got it at Pep Boys. The best part it that you can use the brush, or the pen side which lays down very accurate amount of paint.

Too bad you are in NJ. A couple days ago, my buddy and I went to see "Alloy Wheel Repair" Specialists in Orlando, as he had a quarter inch bang in his wheel (not a Genesis). They fixed it right there in front of us. Amazing! They also paint the damaged area if needed. (His did not need painting). His card says;

A Mobile Commercial and Retail Service.
Rapairing and Polishing.
Flat Bead or Standard Wheels.
Wheel Faces.
Polished or Painted Aluminum.
Bent Wheels.

His website is www.awrswheelrepair.com My firend is happy as a lark.
