  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

G70 Lease Comparisons and Discussion (USA)

Oregon me too. Where did you get yours.
Bakersfield lol; I go to school in California but my permanent address is in Oregon. Also didn’t want AWD and that’s about all there is in the PNW.

Why September? Is that when your S4 arrives. Also, what is your preference as far as configuration of the G70

Thats when my current lease is done.

Just spoke to yet another dealer about the spectrum program. They wanted me to make a 6 hour round trip for them to give me information on the program. I just kept asking the simple question of: "are the base rates in consideration of Lease Cash and Money Factor available for the Spectrum lease just as they are for a regular one?"

Finally ended a 30 minute phone call with an answer of "we don't know, but if you come in we can run the numbers".

You guys can run the numbers without a body in the room. And I can use a calculator.

Me coming in is not going to make a sale easier if the numbers aren't right and the information is wrong.

Just got off the phone with Genesis Finance.

They had no idea if the base rates were still available. They even said to call MetLife. I asked the rep if it made sense to call the insurance company about the money factor and lease cash provided on a car, to which they said "that's what the paper says".

I'm honestly not seeing a super bright future for this program if finance reps think that an insurance company is setting pricing details on vehicles.

Sure, let me just call up State Farm and see if they can provide me with extra lease cash on a C63 AMG. I'm sure they set that for Mercedes.

Just got a decent offer from Murdock Genesis for a 3.3T elite package.
46,940 MSRP with 6K off in savings and rebates. MF of .00007.
0 Down - 558.95
2K Down - 503.18.

The residual is killing these things which is a bummer. I wish i was in the position to wait a year or two and just pick up a used one for dirt cheap.

What are the terms of that offer (Month/Miles)?

Yup. Fees break down as 247.00 for Government, 399 for proc/doc, and some random 139.95 for accessories. I have not had the chance to reply yet but I will here shortly and see if i can squeeze them for even more.

Where are you located? Not USA I take it. Otherwise you would have state sales tax as well.

I actually am in Colorado. Sales tax was left out depending on what county i will end up using as my home address but i have anticipated another 30 or so bucks a month.

Not for nothing, thats a serious omission from the original post. Either $1000+ more out of pocket or, like you said, $30 more per month which brings it up to around $630ish/mo. Thats not far off from what Ill be paying for my S4 which is a $61k MSRP.

My mistake, it did include tax for my county.

Looks like i may end up with an S4. I have gotten them down $10,800 so far on the purchase price and am about to cross the sub 500 dollar payment mark so it may end up being cheaper and with a way better residual.

Sounds like a deal for the S4!

Just an update, I did get information from Incentives department in regards to the Spectrum Program.

It does NOT qualify for the subsidized money factor. Instead, it gets set at between .00143 and .00245 depending on the trim level (and credit tier). They couldn't divulge any more about the trim and credit tier associated to the MF that as it was for internal use.

Lease Cash is $1750 for all models.

So, if your insurance won't murder you, it's definitely best to avoid Spectrum as it doesn't really add anything aside from the insurance and the slightly more comprehensive maintenance (brakes and wipers).

^ yeah...but what is included in regards to brakes? I bet those Brembos are a small fortune to replace !! No worries here as my lease will be done before I need to touch them.

See thats what Im talking about! Thats why Im ending up with an S4. Although I finally saw my first G70 on the road last night. It was in the blue I wanted too. Only a 4 cyl but it still looked unique and I knew exactly what it was as I was coming up on it. Couldnt get the drivers attention to give him a thumbs up, but its the thought that counts right?

Curious what the residual is on that S4 lease to be able to have payments under $500.

Seriously. I had a 59% a7 s-line residual in 2014
