Hi everyone. Michael here from Nashville, Tennessee. Just purchased a 2013 Equus Ultimate, Silver, Black interior.. Had 40K miles. Loving the car, first Equus we've owned, but also own a 2015 Genesis 5.0 in white and 2013 Azera w/ Tech package. I never thought I'd own 1 Hyundai, let alone 3; at the same time.. Glad to be here and hope to learn a bunch more about these cars, and possibly a few little aftermarket/upgrades along the way.
You have three great cars! But why did you “need” the Equus?
Wouldn't say "need" per se.. But its been on my bucket list and we have 4 drivers in the family. Wife drives the Genesis and daughter was just handed keys to Azera (which I drove) for college.
I've been looking for an Ultimate for a while now, but finding one with low mileage has been the struggle. This one literally fell in my lap, and for the price, I couldn't pass. Love it thus far.
I truly believe that's the risk you take with any used car. Anything can happen, and quite honestly I am prepared as best I can for whatever happens. I enjoy the vehicle, and so does the family, so I'm not overly concerned. That’s great. My concern, though, would be the lack of warranty coverage. What’s your plan for that?

In other words, no plan.
In other words, My Plan...
These days vehicles are so complex. My extended warranty on my ‘12 Genesis has nearly paid for itself already and still runs for 57,000 mi, or August 2024.
Sorry to hear that. On the good note you have a beautiful car that I'm sure will make you happy.Hi everyone, I'm kinda new here.
Bought a 2018 Genesis G80 for my umm, umm wife about 6 months ago, and now separated. Oh well, she has the payments.
But.............. I just traded my 2018 Toyota Tundra 1794 for a 2016 Equus Signature, 68K miles.
Love this car.
The dealer threw in an extended service. Good thing because I think it needs transmission work. Oh well, still love the car.
Getting new front tires Monday.
As soon as I can get it cleaned up, I'll post some good pics.
What are some cool mods for the car that has almost everything?
Is there a head unit upgrade? Maps upgrade? Air bag? Performance?

Is the “extended service” provided by your dealer the same thing as an extended warranty? As a second owner, without ANY warranty coverage left, your ownership is a risky proposition. As you likely know, as a second owner you lose the 10/100,000 drivetrain coverage. Also, the car’s basic warranty expired at 60,000 miles.Hi everyone, I'm kinda new here.
