If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. G70 Lease Comparisons and Discussion (USA)

Yet another dealer woe. This time at the hand of their Incentives Rep.

Said that dealer cash can stack with the Circle A price, yet the lease cash won't.
Salesperson was very nice and understood when I said it even says it on the paper and the FAQ, but the rep told their GM and finance manager that it didn't.

So I've gotta get Circle A to contact them. Ugh.
Such a crappy dealer. I do my research everytime shopping for a car and I hate that some dealers treat you like a dump guy that they can prey on. I walk out as soon as I smell BS. Lucky that I live in a big metro that other options are available.

Oh, this is my fifth or so dealer. Each one tells me different.

I've actually been told multiple things by Circle Help as well. My most recent email today says that a buyer cannot take both the lease cash and the special lease rate. Though their email says standard "lase rate".

The "special" lease rates seem to be the higher money factors (e.g. spectrum lease is a special rate, and E,M and Z plans are classified under special lease rate). The standard lease rate (as long as that means the lease rate given to anybody leasing regularly) IS the .00009 money factor.

I called and left a message since even Hyundai has told me so many different things.

I honestly wonder why I can't get the same response twice.

We have had a number of members report that same thing. The dealer would accept Circle pricing but only if the higher MF was used not the base.

And a number have gotten the base rates.

Seems like it's not super standardized, or at least each dealer is following the rules at their own discretion.

In previous communications with circle help they said the MF would be an incentive and fall under the "HMA Incentives".

Most of the other dealers I've dealt with have also given that base rate with circle pricing, but none of them have been able to do circle plus dealer cash plus regular lease cash and MF. It's always some combination of them:

1. Circle A with LC and MF, no Dealer Cash
2. Circle A with Dealer Cash and MF but no LC
3. Circle A with LC and Dealer Cash, but no MF.
4. Circle A can't be used with leases at all.
5. Can beat Circle A, use LC and MF, and also $250 Circle Cash (in spite of not using Circle Cert somehow, don't ask me).

Going back to the dealer offering #5 tomorrow. If I can have that deal matched or beaten ($45,004 price on a 3.3T Sport), then I'll be happy. If it's beaten by ~$500 it be close to the $559/mo figure on the AWD scaled to a RWD, $504/mo.

Just have to get it on paper. On the bright side, this place has the highest dealer fee, so anyone that can match/beat it will save me $100-$200 just on that.

$45,004 on what MSRP? Curious what the most off MSRP someone’s received.

My sale price, reduced by lease cash and conquest, prior to lease fee, dealer fee and all the other add-ons and extras, was 32,600$ from a MSRP of 41260$. I could not use Circle as the dealer offer was below circle price. 2litre, Elite, auto, RWD.

$50,840. So $5816 off.
Ruach's deal was $7849 off MSRP, though with a slightly higher MF.

If you scaled the MF to the base at the time, .00007, it would've been a $46,300 selling price on a $53k MSRP meaning about $7520 off MSRP before lease cash or conquest bonus.

Honestly if these dealerships wanna play fast and loose with the rules I feel like I could just bring this in and see if they accept it.View attachment 21843
Dang that's a huge discount even off of MSRP. That isn't Circle A pricing, right?

Also if I understand correctly, the standard lease rate that has to be combined with lease cash is the .00009 MF. That sounds like a great MF; why is a special lease rate needed on top of that? Just trying to understand the situation since I'm looking to lease in the future.

Hello everyone,

I'm new here and I just recently picked up a 2019 3.3T RWD Sport a few days ago. I'm not familiar with Circle A pricing and there's way too many pages for me to go back to read. However, I did negotiate deals between two local dealers who were fighting for my business and I ended up with one for $45500 out the door. This included whatever discounts the dealer provided, $1000 off for the conquest - competitive owner coupon and additional rebates through Genesis Finance as I am doing the balloon lease option and paying off in full. I apologize if this is the wrong thread to post this.

It is not; it says "Big PP Discount".

These dealers seem to clown around, I think I should as well.

A special lease rate isn't needed on top of that, I do believe that is the special lease rate, though very confusing because there are other things called "special lease" rates which are much higher (employee pricing and spectrum leasing both have a special lease pricing far higher than the regular lease rate). The .00009 could be classified as a special lease because it IS a subsidized rate, technically an incentive.

That's another reason why I think it should apply; it's an incentive and HMA incentives apply to the A-Plan.

Holy smoke, that's an eye-popping deal. I'm impatiently waiting for the circle A pricing from r_spec. Finally be able to pm him last night.

It's not a real circle A plan discount. He changed the regular discount (which is usually roughly 4k off MSRP) to the biggus dickus discount of over 10k. Haha.

Yeah, the highest discount goes to the dealer employees in the form of Circle Z or direct Hyundai Corporate employees.

Explain more about the balloon lease option. I have talked to a dealer who mentioned that. Said vehicle would not have to be re-titled from the finance company to my name. It would be in my name from the beginning. Does the dealer still hit you up with various fees specifically done on leases or do some of those go away with the balloon option? I also want to pay my own taxes and registration fees to do away with any dealer BS registration fees.

I don’t recall any specific fees on a regular lease except an origination fee.
Some places will not let you pay your own taxes and fees. They don’t want anyone “forgetting”. Some states want to make sure they get their money when the deal closes.

Yet another wasted day and trip to yet another dealer. I feel I may have to go out of State.

The deal I negotiated over the phone that they said beat Circle A (this was before I discussed whether I'd be financing or leasing) was going to be $45,254. They said they would take off the $250 circle cash to help earn my business and get me in.

Came in, ran numbers. 575/mo with an 866 down payment (first months plus tag transfer) was their offer. The $45,004 price would sit me at $538 with $0 drive off.

They then said "yeah this number is after the lease cash and conquest. But it beats circle A since you have a standard money factor and can't use the lease cash".

Showed them the communications from circle help that directly refuted their claims. Still stuck to it. Said the best lease they could do on a circle a certificate would be at 7.8% interest and would be $685/mo.

Especially unhappy as that price made no mention of the incentives being applied, and when the quote was given I made no mention of whether I'd be doing a lease or financing, so it shouldn't have been applied anyways.

Showed the GM the calculations that showed the cost of what they'd quoted a purchasing price/cap cost of $45004, and also showed removing the incentives (since they said it was baked in) didn't lead to the lease cost quote given. They asked if I was running the numbers right and tried to say "you're missing the lease startup fee, which is $750" (they were off by about $2000). I explained that was the acquisition fee and he tried to say there was a $750 acquisition and $750 lease startup. Those are the exact same thing.

Legitimately, the downfall of this brand is going to be at the hands of these dealers that have a dangerous combination of ineptitude and predatory tactics.

If Jersey City can redo Ruach's deal for me I may be taking a cramped spirit flight and having a road trip in an AWD since that price is STILL beating every quote of gotten for a $2000 cheaper RWD by nearly $20-$100 month ($700-$3000 cheaper).

I honestly hate to think of what I've wasted in time, mileage, and tolls.

The way I see it, you tried to negotiate everything over the phone and that is admirable. But if you are going to play that game you have to give them all the information, particularly how you are financing. Then I would make sure you get an email back with ALL the details spelled out including how long the quote is good for. If you go in and start changing or adding things, you can expect they will also. That would be my strategy.
