The Lexicon system with the technology package was extremely impressive in terms of it's high standard of quality and fidelity. The representative input a DVD jazz disc, and I could not believe the realism that I was experiencing with the quality of the music that was being heard through the 17 speaker system.
The Tech package does play DVD audio and video on the DVD video screen, with the latter only being allowed to play while the vehicle is in the "parked" position. I am able to verify this since I was just at the test track in Landover, Maryland, 7/27/08, where I got the opportunity to experience the Genesis on a makeshift track, up against two other vehicles that honestly did not stand up to the test as well; these vehicles were the Mercedes Benz E550, at $68k, and the Cadillac StS, at 48k. The Genesis proved itself by outweighing the other contenders in most areas. I actually drove (by choice), the V-6, although I could have driven the v-8. They were all there for the choosing.
I presently am leasing a BMW 525i that I am 100% convinced I will be trading in for the Genesis at the end of this year. I was more impressed overall, then I though I would be, and so were allot of others that were there to experience the capabilities of the Genesis.
