  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Anyone know off the top of their head what the circle a discount is for a 3.3 AWD in the prestige trim? Ignoring lease cash and other incentives etc

About $4200 would be the discount for one of those.

To find out the invoice price of specific configurations, I use the Costco Auto website. It's been a great resource to check the invoice of specific trims.

Just picked up a 3.3T Sport RWD for $45500 out the door using the Genesis Finance balloon finance offer along with other discounts that were given. I went this route with the balloon finance because the dealer said this would give me the most discounts since I originally did not want financing as I was paying in cash. They said most cash buyers go this route and pay it off full when the first bill comes.

Congrats on your purchase! Wondering if you can elaborate on the "balloon finance" details? There has been some mention of this on the thread, but no details so far. How much discount did they give you for this pseudo "all cash" deal? What happens if you don't payoff on the first payment? Does it become a loan with higher interest rate or a lease with a higher MF?

I think it's lease cash

I don't know the difference. :sneaky:

Rather than leasing, which in essence is renting the vehicle, you purchase it but the loan has a balloon payment. Rather than the loan following the normal amortization schedule it is set up so the regular monthly payments are lower and then there is a balloon payment (usually the last one) that will be for the remainder of the loan. For example, the monthly payments may be $300 a month for the first 47 payments of the loan and the final one may be $4,000. Many people shy away from them due to the large payment due. Many times the interest rate is higher than normal but it allows people to have lower monthly payments.

In the situations we are talking about here, it may pay to take the balloon and the associated incentives and pay it off early. From what we have seen though, the interest rate will be much higher than the lease and the incentives lower so it probably would still be better to lease, take the lease cash and then either buyout early or at lease end. One would need to run the specific numbers for a specific deal to see which one would be better.

This sounds like the old "GM Smart buy"

Well, it is now almost August...what are folks picking up either a 2.0T loaded Sport or a 3.3T Loaded Sport for? Please do NOT include anything other than the actual cost of the car with destination. When you include dealer fees, taxes, title and tags, it only muddies the water since those are all variables that are very different from one city to another.

So, in the end, what should I be able to do below invoice as I never pay invoice or more on any vehicle I have ever purchased? Right now, my best deal is $1000 below factory invoice.

The car is for my wife and struggling with I should go with the 2.0 or 3.3. Had a 2017 A4 with the 2.0T and it was plenty fast but I like the red stitching on black leather on the 3.3 and the painted calipers too.

Was reading about a "Circle A" coupon? What is this and how do you get one???

Thank you all for any input you can share!

DFW, TX -

3.3t sport RWD. $42407 before tt&l. Was able to get down to this price due to using the balloon financing option $3000 off, additional $1000 off for competitor conquest offer, and whatever discounts the dealer was able to throw in. MSRP was $50610.

WOW...based on my calcs, that's around 16% off MSRP...sounds too good to be real. MSRP is ~$50,600 and invoice is $48,300. You really got $6K off INVOICE???

Please share the details;)

I previously replied with the details but it appears the message may be too long, therefore it is awaiting moderator approval? Maybe I'll have to post it in sections.

Sure thing Tonester.. This may only be the right option for those that can pay in full within 3 years or so. Pretty much, all I cared about was the out the door price, regardless of whether it's financed or not. With this balloon program (I think this is what it's called) through Genesis Finance, they were able to get me $4000 in rebates ($3000 just for using that specific financing program I'm assuming? And another $1000 for the conquest competitor vehicle - I currently own an Acura). The dealer must have thrown in whatever other discounts they could on top of that.

We put $0 money down and were approved for 2.05% apr, 35 payments at $626.47 and final payment of $25811.10 due on payment 36. It is a simple interest loan with no pre-payment penalties, therefore once the first bill comes in, we will pay it off in full, or choose to continue making monthly payments and pay it off at the end of the loan or anytime before then. Rate doesn't change and no hidden fees/etc.

I'll break down the numbers from the purchase agreement.

Total Price showed $50610 for the RWD 3.3T Sport. Dealer also threw in rear bumper applique and window tint (not included in $50610 price as this was negotiated later). Vehicle also came with first aid kit and mud guards.

Purchase agreement showed:

Cash price of vehicle $46407

Total due $49500.99 included tt&l, other fees, etc.

Rebates $4000
Amount to be financed $45500.99
Purchased from Genesis of Dallas, in TX.

About $1893 off invoice, that's inclusive of $3000 lease cash (which I guess is mirrored by the balloon financing) and $1000 conquest.

Still a dang good deal!
