I think your correct about minor production improvements. Manufacturers purchase a lot of various parts, sub-assemblies, wire bundles and the like from multiple sources around the world typically. Although Genesis states the majority of the car is built in Korea, I think individual components can come from about anywhere and then Genesis does the final installation and assembly. Only mention all this for companies use low bidders and sometime later realize the part or sub-assembly is not performing satisfactory, not fitting perfectly or more warranty work is being required than planned for at the dealers. Companies switch suppliers in a lot of these cases so production improvements can occur throughout a production life cycle. I work in a large manufacturing company on products that fly. We source parts from low bidders all over the world and switch suppliers all the time when quality, cost or schedules are impacted. I’m making an assumption auto manufacturers are pretty much the same. That is one reason why I am waiting for 2020 models hoping maybe life cycle improvements might be made in some areas after the first model year. Plus the first couple G70s I looked at were 6 months old due to the whole launch debacle with dealers and I did not want a car that had been sitting around that long.Quick question, since this is a first model year vehicle. The two dealers, that have what I think I want, the three cars I am looking at have build dates of July 2018 and November 2018. That surprised me that cars are sitting here that long. I know they come on a boat from Korea but the July dates scare me as I know that a manufacturer "fixes" things throughout production as issues arise or complaints start coming in from dealers and buyers related to issues that require a TSB. Thoughts or am I worrying about nothing? I could also wait for the 2020 to hit the dealers but no one seems to know when that will be and I am getting a solid deal on my Acura trade and don't want to lose another grand or so. Thanks
That’s awesome!!! Nice car collection!!! G70 fits well...especially with a JB4!What’s up, fellow Genesis folks! I stumbled across the G70 while shopping for a Palisade for my wife a few weeks ago.
I’m a big car guy and have had a Z06, Hellcat, and C63 to name a few, but I didn’t know much about the G70 at all.
Well, I left the dealer that same night with the Santiago Silver G70 3.3 Sport AWD from the showroom floor and NO Palisade! I’m at mile 552 and have possible exhaust and tune plans!
Don’t know if this will help any of you at the moment, but here are a few stats from the deal.
MSRP $52,610
Zero Down at signing
36 month Lease, 10K per year
$595 month

I’m assuming you have a 3.3 and the JB4 and would love to ask a few more questions. What’s the best way to proceed? Replying here, elsewhere?
Thank you! Hate this featureThat is correct.
Over the past months a member of this board who is a Hyundai employee or affiliate, and a Genesis fan, has provided Circle discounts when requested. It should be possible to message him when you accumulate 15-16 original posts (not likes, etc). This limit is to prevent bots from creating havoc. As you participate more often others will guide you in this effort. It just takes time. He must be as sure as possible that a person is real and has honest interest. Please understand.Hey y’all, I am trying to buy a G70 and I heard someone mention the circle A plan, but I need a certificate. Is there anybody on here who can possibly help me get that so I can get it off the car? I can repay you somehow, I just don’t know how yet!
I've been reading through the thread. I have never had nor considered a lease, but after reading hear about lease vs finance, I have a couple questions. The lease then buy route sounds great. What number of miles annually is generally too high to go this route? Also is the state of GA one of the states that charges the tax once at lease and once at purchase? I know the TAVT laws changed recently, but don't know if that's how it works here. Thanks!
