  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Based on the spy shots (and the 3-D modeling that was done), think the GV80 will be quite the looker (think the Genesis design language, in particular, the grille - will look better on a CUV bodystyle as opposed to a sedan).

Based on the earlier shot of the interior (seems to be a lower spec), wasn't too keen on the seat stitching pattern, but like the one above better - even if the diamond-quilted pattern is over-played (wish they had not gone w/ a straight on diamond pattern, but a variation of it to make things more distinctive).

Not sure if like the design of the interior door panels, in particular for the front doors.

I actually really like the diamond pattern on the seats. I hope the G80 comes like that. But I will say, I won't be getting one with a tan interior.

^ Don't mind it and it does look nice, but there was a slightly different pattern (forget if it was Hyundai/Genesis or Kia) that was just more distinctive/special.

So many automakers have used the straight diamond pattern that it's become a cliche.

Looking good at night

Makes it seem like the GV70 is a lot further along than I thought.

It takes about a year plus from the first test mules showing up before the cars are sold in Korea. That was the case with the G70 and the new G80.

The "Unveil"? That is either terribly misleading or the new GV80 comes with a lot of canvas covering.

The weird thing is that the videos must have been set up by corporate as some type of marketing stunt. I don't see them parking an unreleased, unveiled vehicle in an area like that and just leaving it.

These do look nice; a lot better than the stitch pattern for the lower-end seats.

Still, think something a little diff. like a hexagonal or octagonal stitch pattern would have been better.

I think you are correct on that. Showed them to my wife and she already said we won't be getting one of those because of the way the seats look. I have a feeling those are the top trim but holding out hope they aren't and the pattern will be different on them.
