  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

The other day it was really windy and a garbage can blew into my car while I was driving down the road. When I got out to inspect if there was any damage I noticed something in my tail light. Lo and behold there is some kind of bug stuck inside, in the upper portion (just above the red part). I find it hard to believe that I would miss that when I purchased the car, and I don't remember seeing it. I have no idea how he got in there, and I have no idea how to get him out! I'm not too good with cars. I've attached some pictures. Is there an easy way to get into there and get him out?

How bizarre! I also found a bug in my rear left tail light. Pale yellow, transluscent, about an inch long located in the clear section. I forgot to mention it when I had my oil changed. Since I plan to take it in this week for another matter, I'll see what they say about this.

Virus

The second time in two days my Symantec Anti-Virus program has picked up( and deleted ) a virus on this site. A bit disconcerting ! The virus is 'downloader'

Please let me know! If there is nothing I can do myself I was going to ask the dealership to take care of it, but I'm not due for any service for quite awhile.

I've seen this before, and there can be some success with taking the bulb out and using a vacuum to try and suck the bug out, or compressed air to blow it out. If that seems like too much effort, see if the dealer will replace the assembly under warranty.

The bug might have gotten in there through a vent hole-I've seen them in a number of cars and trucks to allow moisture to escape so the lenses don't fog up.

Almost as bad as a banana in the tailpipe!
