  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Spy shots of the long-awaited GV80.

Aston Martin just revealed their new DBX SUV, and they had at least Carwow do a video exploring its exterior and interior. The car won't be on sale for another 7 months. The LA Auto Show not only would've been a good place to have impact with the reveal, but it's the most important market to show off a new SUV. Even if they can't sell it yet, they need to get themselves in the minds of US consumers.

As for where the GV80 will sit in the market vs its competitors, it'll be more of the same Genesis MO: 85-100% of the car competitors offer, in a cohesive and well-rounded package, at thousands of dollars less. The GV80 may not have many if any differentiating features, but it just has to be a good value like the competitive advantage of all other Genesis cars. A lot of their marketing materials also highlight the customer experience and focus, particularly with their concierge service, but who knows how well that'll work out with how shit Hyundai dealerships are lol.

For what it’s worth.

Usually when it comes to Summer release dates it’s usually mid to end of summer. But then again it will take awhile for all states to get the vehicle.

Some tech and engine notes (probably old news...dunno)...

Hyundai Motor Group will add to the GV80 their latest battery of new technologies, including Augmented Reality Navigation, Electronically Controlled Suspension, Remote Smart Parking, In-car Payment System, 1st-row Center Airbag, and Active Road Noise Reduction technology.

Genesis GV80 specs and size were leaked during service maintenance training and the entire engine line-up will include the 2.5-liter Turbo Theta III delivering 304 hp, the 3.5-liter Turbo Lambda III delivering 380 hp and the new 3.0 V6 Diesel engine with 278 hp. The size of the GV80 is 4,945 mm long, 1,975mm wide and 1,715mm height.

Figured they would have the 3.5tt and 2.5t. Then I noticed also the fact that it’s been postponed again till December. I wonder if that is going to be the actual month of reveal. Seems like it’s just been postponed over and over again.

Shouldn’t stop Genesis to reveal the damn car, also I see in the specs above is 67.5 inches tall, I really wonder how much headroom will you have in the 3rd row

No I understand that they can reveal the car already. Ford did it with the “new” Ranger and that truck didn’t come out till 8-9 months after it’s reveal.

Looking for explanations on some GV80 features.....

Augmented Reality Navigation - Looks like it takes the input from the front camera and incorporates it into the navi display. Is that correct??

In-car Payment System - No flipping idea.

1st-row Center Airbag - Is that an airbag in the right-hand side of the driver's seat??

^ Fme...hope my car doesn't get hungry and go out and buy gas, hookers and munchies !
Apparently it picks up on your preferences and is just following your lead. :outtahere:

TAKE IT OFF ALREADY, THE SUSPENSE IS KILLING ME!!! :wallbash:

I'm curious if the thing is going to be over 6000 GVWR to qualify for the business tax deduction...

I’m pretty sure what the exterior will look like with all the renders and soy shots. I’m more interested in the interiors, technology and pricing at this point. The lease on my Genesis Coupe is up June 2020, it’s either this or the 2021 G80.
