  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Not bad at all, but it's strange how they package in additional features when you add AWD. Maybe it helps keep the RWD prices low?

I may have missed it in the write-up, but can the Prestige be ordered without 3rd row seating?

"Standard equipment is generous even on the Standard, and includes full-LED exterior lighting, a load-leveling rear suspension, dual-zone automatic climate control, heated front seats, a hands-free power liftgate, proximity key entry, push-button ignition, power-adjustable steering column, 12-way power front seats, automatic high-beam control, adaptive cruise control, self-steering lane-keep assist, collision warning, and blind-spot monitoring"

Standard is pretty good, but I'm still waiting for the GV70, hopefully it won't be delayed too much with that coronavirus crap.

Thanks for sharing. It comes in a bit higher than what the speculation has been. I'm going to need to drive it first to see if it's worth it at nearly 72k. They do offer a lot, but to me when you get to this price point, you now need to offer a drive train that's as good as the competition IRT performance etc...

Personally bummed that it's over 65k, but it's still atop the list right now. They do give a lot though. I have a question. Do any of the 3.5 trims over real leather on dash and doors or is it still the faux? Great article, but there will still be plenty of questions.

thanks

Probably. The add on for AWD on the sedan is much lower at about $2500

Jeez if the Prestige costs that much in USA, how much in Canada?

I think we will surprised how much it lists for in Canada. Many people put down their $1,000 deposit hoping it will be under or roughly $78,000 for the top end.. But judging from the USA prices, I now expect it to be approx $84,000. That is too high and maybe people will ask for deposit back, especially when you add the HST/GST..

I kind of like how they did the packages. I can't wait to see an updated site so we all know exactly what will come in each package. That will stop the speculation that has led to a bit of negative back and forth and personal attacks.

I am hoping they offer the military discounts as well as coming over from another premium brand etc... If I can get this thing down a few thousand I may be able to pull it off. (the virus has clobbered my portfolio, lol). Wonder what the leasing will be on it as I think that's how I'll go. Glad the numbers our out though.

I agree with you on this completely. The pricing is higher than I thought it would be (Car and Driver originally estimated that $65K would be the max). Driving it will be the key.

I'm sure if you compare the options with German equivalents, this is a great deal. But it may be hard to compare the price to the RX, even if it's an interior vehicle in many aspects.

What I dislike is how confusing the trims are. All the AWD packages add something different at each trim level, and each trim level has different equipment on the 2.5T vs the 3.5T. I can't imagine coming in as a low info customer and trying to compare trims and make the best choice.

In general I agree with your package comment. Porsche is famous for its "everything is an option", pricing. If you shop for a used Porsche, no two will have the same options and almost every vehicle starts with a different MSRP. Confusing. HOWEVER, I’m not entirely happy. Of the 10 features added with the Prestige Pkg. A few I really wold like i.e. Nappa leather, E-LSD and Active Noise Cancelation. There some items that don’t matter to me i.e. Second Row Vanity mirrors or Auto Window Shades. (What the backseat passenger can’t lift the shade? LOL) And there are items I really don’t want Third Row Seating and IMO those awful 22” Wheels. So while I like packages I find myself looking for a key to unlock some package features. 🧐

Fun, You and I would probably buy the same load out based on all of your comments. I honestly think we are that close, but I also know that you can't have it all. I'd rather do the package routine than the nickel and dime. That said, this SUV will go up against the CPO's that I am looking at as that's a ton of cash for a non established brand that sold at a Hyundai dealership. Those things come at a premium. I also wonder how it will keep it's value. All cars lose and lose quickly, I get that, but it's a personal thing for me as I am concerned about selling it in a few years if I purchase and don't lease.

Many of us are thinking the same things based on a few months of posting. I do feel they will do well with it and I hope they do. I also wonder if it's priced about 5k too high for the two upper packages. Just a lot of moving wheels as with any large purchase.

From what I’ve been reading I lot folks are like us 👍. The PRICE, setting the MSRP is based on many factors and is an art. Set it too high and you loose customers too low and you’re giving profit away. They keep the rumored $50K bottom but raised the top of the line about 10% (ouch). I don’t think it’s a mistake, judging by the enthusiasm on this forum they may know just what they’re doing. If I’m willing to pay even if I say ouch, Genesis will smile. 🤗

If Genesis had better dealership front, even sharing with current Hyundai but better Genesis sales and service teams, those prices could've been easier to pass through, so time will tell.

It seems the answer is NO. To get to two row we need to order the Advanced Package. 😢

From the PDF document below, it appears the Advanced + adds 3rd row seats over the Advanced, but the Prestige does not add 3rd row seats over the Advanced! That is a ++ from my perspective.
