  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

After owning this car for 7 months now, I'm loving it more and more. I have been lurking on here for awhile now, getting ideas from everyone and seeing what the aftermarket has in store, which is pretty dismal.

This leads to me this last weekend. I was able to catch a break in the weather and design what looks to be the worlds first full rear diffuser for the sedan? Please correct me if I'm wrong. Couldn't find one.

I used a material I fell in love with years ago for making car parts. Expanded PVC. It comes in different thicknesses and a couple different colors. What is pictured here is 3mm thick. Very lightweight and self extinguishing within 30 seconds so it's fine around exhaust. Holds shape very well, is paintable, sandable and you can apply vinyl wrap to it.

This is a one off piece that I will eventually turn into a full CF peice. I can make a mold if anyone else is interested in something like this. Otherwise it's all mine.

Here is a rough step by step of how the process went. The final shape is made but the piece isnt currently installed yet. Waiting to get some new wheels and lower her before I do too many other exterior parts.
