  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Ordered "custom" Genesis G80 mats from Covercraft--regretted it

I'm going to need all weather mats this fall. Chicago weather is brutal at times. Genesis wants over $300 for their brand. Not sure what direction I will go.

Keep in mind that AutoAnything is just that, Anything. They are just a retail outlet, discount for the most part, that sells other companies parts. They do have a line under there name but it is manufactured for them by a off-shore (there words) company. If you have a problem once, they will kind of assist you, if you have a problem twice, they become less than helpful and send you to the manufacturer for warranty. I had a terrible time with them & Oracle LED headlamps back in 2015. The bulbs would hardly last 3 months and had a "Lifetime" warranty. But the returns for inspection after your headlamps failed was a pain. I still have a set of failed LEDs in the cabinet due to pain in the ass returning them.
BUT Lloyd's Floor mats are great, but I would buy them from Lloyds if I could, rather than a resaler.

Some would say that you get what you pay for.

Get WeatherTech's, you'll love them!
I have them now in my G80 sport, had them in '15 5.0, '13 5.0 rspec and '13 Santa Fe. My Wife's on her 4th Santa Fe and the last 3, also had them. It's kind of like a habit to me...buying a new car, we're getting WeatherTechs, every time, lol

At least get the front two, if no one sits in the back, I mean kids.

I just ordered the Luxe carpet for my G80 Sport directly from Lloyds, with a lift time warranty.

Please let me know what they're like. They're not inexpensive, and seem difficult to return, so I'm going to wait to see what you say :)

Thanks for the links guys, DrKK, have you purchased the Lloyd's yet? just wanted to see what you think. Those Spartan liners right now would be my choice. Brian, how does the rear fit?

The rears fit well on a G70 but I can't say for sure on the G80. I would think they would fit just as well though. Here's a pic of the fronts. Don't have any of the rears.

Edit: I actually emailed them asking if I can do the fronts only but they stated they don't carry front and rear mats separately anymore. I asked if they had a discount code since I had to buy both front and rear and they ended up giving me a custom 10% off code. It's worth a try to reach out to them.

I'm impatiently waiting for you to receive these and let us know how they were!!! :)

Yes, I will. They should be in this week.

One thing I always do when buying a new car is to negotiate extra mats (and more) into the deal. I do that at the end of the money negotiations when the dealer asks me “what can we do to get you to buy this car?” Other items I require include oil changes/rotations, cargo net, mud guards, etc.
Once I decided on the G80 I wanted and the price, the dealer said they'd have to get it from another dealer. I said fine, but not for a penny more than we agreed. When the car came in it had top of the line window tinting, mud flaps, first aid kit, trunk cargo net, wheel locks, and all weather mats. They weren't pleased, but they were "free" because of our deal. My all time best car purchase deal. Who knows how these dealers work deals between each other, but you can bet my dealer didn't lose any money.

WELL!!!! I'm getting impatient.

Also, CoverCraft has ***NOT*** refunded me, despite the return having been delivered to them.

I just received my floor mats from Lloyds yesterday. They are very nice and fit perfect. It was worth the money that I spent on them. They also have a lifetime warranty on them, which is really sweet.

Is it thick like actual carpeting? You got the "Luxe" ones, right

Yes it is thick, DrKK you will like them, they are very plush. I am very picky and like them a lot and they look really good.

Excellent. NOw the question is: What color to get. Black like what's already in there? I have the beige panels/seats and black floors.

Well not that is your decision. I prefer black.
