  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Drivers seat moves driving in a curve

They didn't have the car thankfully! Just waiting for the part THEN I'll take it in. My faith in this particular dealership is not what it used to be.

I feel ya, I have a near by dealership but yet I drive 30 mins out of the way to another dealership for service. But so far they have treated me good, and I also had the same issue you did. They replaced the seat track and all is well.

This problem seems to be getting more frequent. It’s a 2016 Genesis with the ultimate package. It’s really distracting going in a curve. I posted this problem in the G80 forum and a member gave me a link to a TSB on AboutAutomobile. I called my dealership about it and they said all car seats have some play in them. BS! He said there is no TSB. The number I gave him was invalid. He said bring it in and they would look at it. Is anyone having this kind of problem?
Yes my seat has a similar problem , no movement when pushed in any direction but feel a shift under seat in corners .
This started after side air bag replacement which required the seat to be removed .

My 2016 Ultimate has recently started with this seat issue. Sometime ago I stumbled on this info that I will be showing my dealer and might be helpful to members here. Search TSB 20-BD-009H...this service bulletin seems to be spot on to this issue. I will be using it in the coming weeks when I schedule my fall oil change.Hope this helps

I believe the repair part # is 88535-B1000FFF to the issue above...seems this part is a type of o ring or cir clip that when used prevents seat movement

It's been almost a year and I'm starting to feel it again in tight turns. Apparently the parts they are using are the same, not engineered to correct the problem.

Am I correctly understanding that you had this "repair" done under TSB 20-BD-009H and now about a year later you have the same thing happening?? if so that is very interesting. Seems others have had the entire seat "rail" system replaced with mixed results also

About a month ago my dealer replaced the seat frame as I felt like I had a golf ball rolling around & hitting my backside on corners. It was a $2000 + warranty claim. Also replaced the springs in the rear trunk lid so it would go all the way up instead of about 1/2 inch. All is good now.
They even gave me a loaner & hand washed & dried my car. I bought the car used from another local Hyundai dealer 2 1/2 years ago. A BIG (y)to Precision Hyundai here in Calgary Alberta Canada.

They replaced the seat rails on my 2015. TSB 20-BD-009H is a clip on the 2016 models. It was great at first then maybe a month ago felt it slide a little side to side, Not near as bad as before but I'm sure in time it will be. What bothers me is they did not fix or re-engineer the part, just replaced it with a new defective part.

This repair or clip replacement is worthless. They have replaced mine multiple times and it will only last until you go into a turn at higher speeds then it will pop off. For my car when the seat starts moving if I move the seat using the controls up and down and then back to my driving position that seems to "fix" it for a while. I have gotten use to just randomly adjusting my seat every few days before I head to work and I honestly hardly ever feel it move anymore. It's just annoying that I have to constantly do this. The dealer even admits that the clips are not holding but they said this is all Hyundai will do and no other fix is available.

I had this repair done this week on my 2017 G80 and it seems to have fixed the problem.

Thanks..appreciate the info...will keep in mind and have mine looked at in the spring (when I take her out of hibernation...from the salty winter roads here in MI)

For now. It came back in less than a year om my car. It's a design issue they are not changing.
