I finally traded in my 2015 Genesis at 57,000 miles and wanted to thank everyone for all of the useful information on this forum. My car has never had any problems but it needed new tires and I was getting nervous about all the expensive systems that were no longer under warranty. I was planning to downsize to a G70, but wound up with a 2021 Sonata Limited that had more up-to-date technology. I'll probably trade it in on a new Genesis in a couple of years when the G70 is updated and inventories loosen up (I like bargains). I traded on Jan 4 to get maximum leverage at the dealership to boost their year-end numbers.
The Sonata is about the same external size as the G70 but has more rear passenger room and trunk space because it is FWD. I'm surprised that Hyundai put more advanced tech on a Hyundai before all the Genesis models received it. It handles quite well for a FWD car because the tiny 1.6L engine takes weight off the front end. But when the time comes, I'll gladly trade it in on something with more power, RWD, and Nappa leather.
