  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

GV80 Reviews

This review is like a time machine back to the early 2000s.

Tommy's right, Roman is stuck in the '80s (plus think he was trying a bit too hard to play counterpoint).

That bright red leather (with all that piano black gloss on the dash - ughhh) reminds me of Eddie Murphy''s leather outfit from Delirious.
I really didn't like this. It was too much....I don't know of what, but it was too much. Like I said elsewhere, the Acura needs to be pitted against the 2.5T to make it a better price, and power, comparison. I really like the MDX's exterior, but I agree with YEH, the interior is a real letdown, it isn't sporty, if that's what they're going for....and don't get me started about the shifter!

Not surprisingly, being on C/D's 10Best list, the GV80 is ranked #1 (ahead of the Cayenne and X5).

The new MDX is ranked 13th (C/D does rank certain models more than once, if there is a performance variant).

love my GV80 but the Cayenne still blows it out of the water in every aspect .

I love my Porsche's but feel the Cayenne vs GV80 is apples and oranges in the overall vehicle. Obviously the Cayenne is sportier and faster and also costs 10K more. Their warranty is less and maintenance costs are quite high for any Porsche. Not sure what Genesis maintenance will eventually be though.

Luxury styling is personal taste, Cayenne is sportier and GV80 is more elegant, simply two different vehicles.

For me, I'm trading in my Macan Turbo for the GV80 for outstanding styling inside and out and this was a tough decision as my Macan only had 29K miles.

My 2 Cents.

100% agree ! The Porsche an expensive commitment. Enjoy your new GV ! I’m sure you’ll love it !

True - the Cayenne is in another league when it comes to performance/handling (C/D can't exactly make an entirely different category, which is probably why they rank the M and AMG versions of the X5 and GLE separately), but the GV80 has the edge when it comes interior appointment, interior/cargo space and maybe a slight edge in sheetmetal (the Porsche CUVs don't carry the Porsche aesthetics as well as the sublime 911 and Cayman).

The edge in sheetmetal increases when it comes to the GV70 vs the Macan.

I think this is another one of those reviews where you don’t care what she’s sellin…you’re buying it.

Another one, more objective and score 92/100...

Pretty funny and very impressive at the 21 minute mark, Sofyan thinks he is driving an AWD and tries to drive out of a snowbank... But it is actually a RWD and he still succeeds!

It’s like watching the dumbest Kardashian. I could only take 2 minutes.

What I like about this review is that he compares the 2.5T to the MDX, which in my opinion, is the correct comparison....and he still prefers the Genesis.

I'm anxious to see the MDX Type S pitted against the GV80 3.5T Advance+.

On price, but in pretty much every other way, the GV80 has more in common with the GLE and X5.

TheStraightPipes review:

They say it's really comfortable, even in the top trim with the 22' wheels. They show a photoshop with the matrix hole pattern in the wheels blacked out and it looks pretty sick.
Love these guys. Didn't read all 22 pages (yet) of this thread to know if anyone commented, but... Yuri mentioned some "discomfort" in lower back when driving with only a T-shirt (jacket blunts it). Jakub did not. I'm Yuri's size so I took notice.

Any feedback on front seat comfort of Prestige trim (with ergo-motion/air bladders)? Haven't had a chance to sit in one at my local dealer yet (they only have Advance trim on lot).

Only issue w/ ergo-motion is that it only stays on for about 10 minutes and then it turns off. I cannot find a setting to change this.

You can set it to short (10 mins - default), medium (15 mins), and long (20 mins). I believe you can adjust the driver's seat settings only while stationary; I tried to tweak this while driving once and it wouldn't even show me the option.
