  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

B1493 PODS (Passenger Occupant Detecting System) Communication error

No error lights on the dashboard.
About 6 weeks ago, had the battery died with no reason when the vehicle was parked. Jumped the battery by AAA.
Since then no visible issues. Cracking the engine fast. Headlights are stable on the battery and with the running engine.
About 5 weeks ago, the engine has stopped when crossed the road bumper (was driving a little bit too fast).
Just started the engine and moved on. No lights came up on the dashboard as well.

Kind of suspecting for the voltage / alternator fluctuations, but it seems like only the cruise control system doesn't like it (
C1101, C1102). And again, no error lights on the dashboard.
The error lights function (confirmed with the switch ON).
Checked the leads on the battery in the trunk and under the hood. Tight and clean.

Control voltage when the engine is idle (600rpm) is around 14V.

Would like the hear your opinions please, before heading to the dealership.
Thank you!

I have the same exact codes on my 2013 equus with 123k. The transmission (already replaced at 78k under warranty) is acting up whenever these codes show. Hard shifting, shift flare and banging into lower gear to pass. Really annoying.
